Janet. If you use cellular, it should be faster then using WIFI. I
know this is the case with me. My WIFI IS quite slow, and I know,
when I downloaded and installed IOS17, it took maybe 3 or 4 minutes to
download the 3 giga byte update using cellular. My WIFI would have
taken much longer. Good luck.

RE: Wi-Fi Downloading VS Celular.

2023-10-03 Thread janet gross
Hi,
I have very good Wi-Fi for downloading as well as uploading, except now and
only with my phone. I will count myself fortunate! It just isn't doing me any
good right now! I have determined this issue is on the phone and only the
phone.

Richard, I believe you, but that isn't true in my case. My WIFI that I have is
really crappy and isn't that good. I do have unlimited cellular data, and I do
use it when watching movies, streaming music, or downloading audio books. I
wish my WIFI and internet were better, but they aren't. My internet is bad
also. I can only download at around 700 KBPS and I'm lucky if I can upload at
80 KBPS, so don't do that often. Those of you who have good WIFI count
yourselves fortunate, because everyone doesn't have blazing fast WIFI. Never
get frontier internet like we have at my house.

Re: Wi-Fi Downloading VS Celular.

2023-10-03 Thread Matt White
It is certainly possible for Wi-Fi to be slower than cellular, but, this is usually not the case.  Your Wi-Fi router/access point is more than seven years old, I could foresee cellular being faster, assuming you have access to LTE or 5G ultra wideband.A poorly optimized Wi-Fi network can also be slow, especially if you live in a congested area, like an apartment complex. But, if Wi-Fi is set up correctly and is reasonably modern, it will usually be pretty fast. And, like Richard said, You are not going to run into nearly as many data limits with Wi-Fi as you would with typical cellular. Sent from my iPhoneOn Oct 3, 2023, at 19:20, Richard Turner wrote:Generally speaking, Wi-Fi is much faster than cellular.
