Re: Has anyone ordered a new Apple product yet and if so how was your experience?
I ordered a Iphone 15 on Friday and should be getting mine on the 22nd. I have to get mine with no carrier as I use spectrum for my service and they don’t have NVMOs listed. Anyway I hob to use my Mac to do it as the Apple Store had issues. Matthew > On Sep 18, 2023, at 2:57 PM, Rick Alfaro wrote: > > Hello. I ordered through T-mobile. RE: Has anyone ordered a new Apple product yet and if so how was your experience?
Hello. I ordered through T-mobile. We ordered 2 15 pros last Friday via their iPhone on us program. We both had iPhone 12 pro and pro max to trade in. It went very smoothly and our expected ship date is this Monday, the 22nd. Warmest regards, Rick Alfaro rick.alf...@gmail.com -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of Sieghard Weitzel Sent: Monday, September 18, 2023 12:43 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: RE: Has anyone ordered a new Apple product yet and if so how was your experience? I ordered an Apple Watch Ultra 2 for myself and after signing in with my wife's Apple Id I ordered one for her. The process was as smooth and easy as it could be. It did say "available starting September 22", but you were able to order since the day of the presentation. I received an email saying the order was processing and it said nothing about me having to do anything else and for both orders I received a delivery time frame, for my watch it is October 16-20 (I selected the Trail Loop band) and for my wife it is October 23-277, a week klater and maybe that is so because she selected the Alpine Loop band which I think is maybe the more popular one. Anyways, I am now thinking I may change it to the Ocean band which I have seen when somebody showed me his Apple Watch Ultra on Saturday and that is what he has, it is not what I would want for every-day use, but I read that while you can only order the Apple Watch Ultra with either the Alpine Loop, Trail Loop or Ocean Loop bands, you can use any watch band that fits a 44/45mm Apple Watch so I will most likely get a third-party Milanese Loop metal band for it because that is what I have had ever since I had my first Apple Watch which was a second edition in 2016. I can switch bands for when I go swimming or when my wife and I go to the Philippines in February where I will see how useful the Ultra 2 is for a Voiceover user for scuba diving. On Friday at 1 o’clock P.M here in the UK the Apple Store was supposed to take pre orders for Apple products. You could actually start the order process on Tuesday 12 September and this was supposed to speed up the process on Friday 15Th. Here in the UK the order process was not as smooth as I thought it would be. After several attempts my order for an iPhone 15 Pro Max as an upgrade from my current iPhone 12 Pro Max was complete. At first it was unable to find the order I placed on 12Th then the trade in system was not working. It is complete now but it took a little over half an hour on Friday to complete. Re: Has anyone ordered a new Apple product yet and if so how was your experience?
Hi Malcolm, Lucky you that you got to do it at 1 PM your time. Here on the West Coast in California, I had to get up at 5 AM that day. My experience was similar to yours, it took about a half hour or so, but I'm happy to report that I successfully completed it and I'm expecting delivery of my new iPhone 15 pro on the 22nd. From what I had heard, there were a lot of other people who had similar experiences as well, some experiences such lengthy delays that they are looking at deliveries into October and some as late as November as a result. The joys of dealing with Apple. You think that they could've gotten this part right since this only happens once a year.
