Re: Question about Reminders

2013-07-21 Thread Sherrie
I love this idea about adding items to a grocery list in Reminders but Siri
would not reply correctly to the command you suggest which was
What items do I have in (name of list) in reminders.
After much trial and error I got her to show the list by saying
Show me Grocery List in Reminders.
She did not seem to like the words items in or on pertaining to the name of
the list.

Maybe your Siri is mor cooperative but mine is very picky!

Siri will not create list in the Reminder app, but Siri will add items to a
list that you have created in reminders.
For example, I have created a Grocery list.
If I want to add something to that Grocery list, I just say:
Please add (item) to (name of list) in Reminders.
Siri will come back and ask you to confirm this. Just flick to yes or confirm
and double tap.

Another thing you can do is have Siri list out the items you have in a certain
list.
For example, you can say:
What items do I have in (name of list) in reminders.
Siri will come back and put a list of the items you have in that reminder list
on the screen. You can flick through the list. It even has a checkbox so you
can check it when you have that item or have completed that particular task.

You can do all of this without even having to open up the reminder app!
This can be very handy!!

So you can just ask Siri to add to any list, or list out the items you have on
your priority list, grocery list, packing for a trip list, or what ever list
you want to create.

All of the things I have mentioned above, I have already tried and successfully
done using Siri.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to let me know.

I am not sure if you already know, but you can create different reminder list.

Like I created a Grocery list that I use when I go shopping. That way you can

And if there is something that you were not able to get, then it will remain on

Re: Question about Reminders

2013-07-20 Thread Chris Chaffin

To create a list in the reminder app, do the following:
1, After opening up the app, double tap the shows lists button in the upper
left hand corner.
2, This is your list screen. This is where you can come to create a list or
view any of your current list by double tapping on them.
3, Right flick down the screen until you hear, create new list, text field.
4, Double tap the text field to activate it. An on screen keyboard will appear
at the bottom of the screen.
5, Use the keyboard to type in the name or dictate the name of your list you
want to create.
6, Double tap the done button at the top left of the screen, or to the right of
the space bar of the keyboard.
7, Your list has now been created!!

You can create all kinds of list. Grocery, packing for a trip, medicine
taking, etc.
If you take certain medicine everyday, you can create a medicine list, then set
a reminder in that list to remind you to take them at the time they need to be
taken.
Grocery list, add items to the list as you notice you need them, and then you
can use the reminder app to always have your grocery list with you!

Even though the reminder app is a simple little app, it can be very useful!

Re: Question about reminders

2012-10-21 Thread Jennie Facer
Unfortunately, you can't do this with the reminder app; however, you can get an
app called alarmed that has a super reminder on it that will allow you to do
this.

Hope this helps,

Jenn

Hi all. Can I set a reminder for every two hours using the reminder app? If
so, how would I do it using Siri?
 Thanks!

Yes you can.

In siri say:
remind me about blah-blah at 3 pm every 2 hours. I did it for pills.

Best,
Ioana
