Re: Question regarding Apple TV, and channels

2016-07-19 Thread Wayne Merritt
Also, if you have accounts in the apps, like YOuTube, then you can
access all of the videos that you have saved to playlists, such as
liked videos and other saved playlists. I do this a lot, save videos
to my liked playlist and watch them later on the Apple TV with my
wife.

Hello, and thank you for the responses to my questions.

I really appreciate it. Yes, this definitely seems complicated to
accomplish. Now, if in someway you are able to accomplish this, getting the
code, and going to the necessary webpage, what will this do? I mean, what
will this allow you to do? I am guessing for YouTube, it will allow you to
sign in over Apple TV. Is this correct?

But what will it do for the other channels, such as ABC?

Subject: Question regarding Apple TV, and channels

Hi everyone,

I have an Apple TV, 3rd generation model. I do not currently have cable.
So I realize what I can do, is limited.

Although, I do have a Netflix, and Hulu account.

Here is my question.

I want to use YouTube on my Apple TV. But when I try to choose my YouTube,
it says something about going to a certain YouTube page, and entering this
code. But I do not understand how to keep the code up on the screen, and
re-read it.

Can I do that? I am totally blind.
Once I go and enter this code, will I then be able to use my YouTube
account on Apple?
It has said this for channels like, abc also. After I watch so many
episodes of a show. If I do this for these other channels, then will I
mostly have full access?

Any help will be very much appreciated. I am trying to understand this
all.

Thank you,

Terri

Re: Question regarding Apple TV, and channels

2016-07-12 Thread MamaPeach
There is no way to re-read the code. I have heard many say they record
VoiceOver speaking the code with a portable tape recorder the first time and
then play it back when it is needed. Or set VoiceOver's speech rate to slow
and try to catch VoiceOver saying the code the first time and type it on a
note pad or word pad for when it is needed. I am pretty sure, if I remember
correctly, you only have a limited time to get this code entered in on the
appropriate web page. I own a 4th generation, so I am not sure how much time
you are given on a 3rd generation, if it is even different. This can be

Hi,

Just go to the requested page on an iDevice or computer. It's a bit of
a pain to get it all set up as you're experiencing, but once you've
done it all it usually works quite well.

Cheers,
Ben.
