RE: Recently created Apple Music play lists don’t show up on my iPad mini

2023-01-15 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Janet, maybe your volume for that tone somehow is turned down way low. I
understand how people with hearing loss may have problems hearing it since it
is a relatively low frequency tone, but if somebody has normal or as you say
excellent hearing then I don't understand how you can miss it unless somehow
the tone is not working or the volume is extremely low.

Hi Mary,
Amen to that! I also have an iPhone XR, and I am experiencing the exact same
problems you are too.

Hi Mark,
Well, I have been trying to do that, wait and wait some more and then make my
request. Sometimes it seems to help. Other times it’s crazy. Siri is just not
very reliable. In terms of launching apps. It will tell me that I don’t have a
certain nap, maybe twice in a row before finally launching the app. I don’t
know what they’ve done. Maybe it’s processing the request on the device instead
of in the cloud. That would certainly make up for some thing maybe, because
this phone is a 10 R, which is not exactly new. Whatever it is, it’s annoying.

2023-01-14 Thread Mary Otten
My problems have not been as serious as yours, Janet. And Siri seems to be
doing so much better on the iPad than on my phone. Although I just now asked it
to launch music, and instead of doing that, it started playing the book I was
reading last night with voice dream reader. I understand how the double magic
tap thing can get confused and play the wrong thing sometimes. But why Siri
thought I wanted to hear a book when I told it to launch the music app is quite
beyond me. Quality control not. The other annoying thing is the unwanted an
inappropriate insertion of punctuation when you’re dictating. For instance, in
this message, it decided to insert a comma between voice and dream for voice
dream reader. I did not pause. It had no reason to do that. There must be a
setting somewhere that I need to find to shut that stupid thing off. maybe this
will help some people, but I’ve been doing dictation for a long time, and I
know how to pause. So, I hope there’s a toggle that I just need to find.

RE: Recently created Apple Music play lists don’t show up on my iPad mini

2023-01-14 Thread janet gross
Mary,
I've never had this problem with either of my phones, until I upgraded to this
16.2. I regret ever upgrading to 16.2! I've never had so many problems with
either of my phones until I upgraded to 16.2. I have a very serious problem
with my Apple Play lists as well, I disconnected all my Bluetooth devices from
the phone, and had to reconnect them again. I can't even get Siri to set my
alarm clock. This is nuts! I upgraded to 16.2, and I had to erase my entire
phone, I had to rename the phone, I lost all my phone calls in my recent folder
in the phone app. I don't know what else to do. I was seriously considering
buying the new iPhone 14, but I quickly changed my mine. I can't raise or
lower the volume on the phone, so when I am talking on the phone, people keep
saying they can't hear me, and there isn't anything I can do about that either!

Hi Janet,
It’s very interesting about that tone. It seems to me that because I can hear
it sometimes and not other times, there might be something going on with audio
ducking. It seems to me like voice over having been speaking, just as I pressed
the side button to invoke Siri is somehow responsible for not hearing the tone.
Therefore, I am wondering about that audio ducking. The problem does not ever
occur with iOS 15 on my old phone and did not occur on iOS 15 with this 10 R
phone.

2023-01-14 Thread Mary Otten
Hi Janet,
It’s very interesting about that tone.
The problem does not ever
occur with iOS 15 on my old phone and did not occur on iOS 15 with this 10 R
phone.

Hello Sieghard,
I have excellent hearing, and this Siri I can not hear the musical tone like I
did before I upgraded to 16.2! I don't know when to ask her a question or not.
As far as I am concerned Siri was broke with 16.2!

I find the main cause right now when Siri misunderstands me is when I speak to
quickly. I know the current Siri tone is harder to hear for people with hearing
loss so hopefully Apple will hear these people and change it again or even
introduce haptic feedback like when you press and hold the digital crown on the
Apple watch, but it definitely works much better if you give it that 1 1000
count after the tone.

The subject line pretty much says it all. I have recently created a couple of
playlists on my iPhone XR. They show up there. They show up on my old iPhone 7
Plus. And they play just fine on my Amazon eight devices because they’re linked
to Apple Music and I can say play my playlist, XYZ and it works. On my iPad
mini six, these playlists are not there. Why the heck not? I just don’t
understand what the heck is going on with Apple.
Between the totally erratic behavior of Siri, half of the time, claiming it
doesn’t have an app I want to launch, which I actually have, and the fact that
when I say something like launch music, it starts playing some thing I don’t
want rather than launching the Music app, I really think iOS 16 is loaded with
bugs that need to be stumped and I don’t get it. Come on Apple. We pay big
bucks for these phones and iPads. Clean it up!

Hi Mark,
Well, I have been trying to do that, wait and wait some more and then make my

Re: Recently created Apple Music play lists don’t show up on my iPad mini

2023-01-14 Thread Mary Otten
Hi Mark,
Well, I have been trying to do that, wait and wait some more and then make my

RE: Recently created Apple Music play lists don’t show up on my iPad mini

2023-01-13 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Mary,

As I do not have an Apple Music subscription, I cannot assist you in resolving
your Play List problem.

However, as far as Siri's seemingly random responses to your spoken requests, I
suggest that, after pressing the Siri button on your device, you wait a full
second after you hear the audio prompt, before speaking. If you can get in the
habit of doing this, I think you will find that Siri is as consistent as it was
in previous versions of the OS.

Mark

Subject: Recently created Apple Music play lists don’t show up on my iPad mini
