Re: Recommended recording app

That's how I record my podcasts too. What's great now is Dropvox can directly
record in MP3 whereas before I had to use some sound editor for PC or mac,
convert the m4a file to MP3 and re-upload.

Re: Recommended recording app

2015-05-06 Thread Alan J Paganelli
I like RecorderHQ Pro. It will record in several different formats
including mp3 and it offers several choices of storage including Dropbox and
others. They have both a free and paid version. I chose to use my
Plantronics Voyager Legend pro as my mike and ear peace for monitoring. If
I remember right the free version limits the recording time but it should be
more then enough time to let you see if you want to pay for the better
version. You can also select quality levals in the paid version. I don't
remember if the free version does or not. I didn't have the free version
very long.

RE: Recommended recording app

2015-05-06 Thread Neal Ewers
Hi, I have to say that DropVox is probably the simplest recording app out
there. It does record in MP3, as has been said. However, if you need to edit
the file once recorded, I would strongly suggest you use something that is not
recording in MP3 unless you have a way to edit the files without reencoding
them. It is a compressed file already, and if you reencode it simply sounds
worse than it did to begin with. But, as I said, Dropvox is really quick and
really slick.

RE: Recommended recording app

2015-05-05 Thread Neal Ewers
Actually, the iPhone microphones are pretty good. I think you'll find that a
lot of recorders may do the same thing. I certainly have been impressed with
the microphone in my iPhone 5 five and iPhone 6. It is possible that the
recorder in question has some noise filtering going on, but I would say they
will mostly do a pretty good job with this.

Subject: Recommended recording app

Hi all, can anyone recommend a good recording app for the iPhone that is
accessible with VoiceOver.

I an currently using the voice memos app pre installed on the iPhone but an
seeking something better.

With any recommendations, it's got to be able to convert to mp3 and sync
across to my Mac because with these recordings I make, I need to be able to
send them via email and I've found that sending them all at once in one go
from the Mac is by far easier than separately on ios itself.
Oh and if the app was to support I cloud drive, well I guess that would make
it a bit easier too.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations that hopefully in due course will
be forth coming from this list.

Re: Recommended recording app

2015-05-02 Thread Daniel McGee
Just tried clear record. The free version and straight away what I didn't like
is that when I hit the record button, the sound defaulted to headphones. Anyway
I can get it to default to speaker? Also, it didn't even recorded the music I
tested it with. I put this down to defaulting to headphone though. If this
can't be changed, then it looks like that this app isn't for me.

Thank you for all the help so far. It's really appreciated.

Hi, I have the list recorder full, full being unlimited

sent to dropbox. You can be at a meeting and as long as you have if, can
send things prior to being home. You may look at both products to see if
