Just ask Siri "Set a reminder each Monday at 8 AM" or whatever time you want.
Siri should ask you them "what do you want to be reminded about", when it does 
give the reminder a description.
If you want to do it manually just go into the app, start a new reminder, put 
in a title and basic stuff, then tap on "Enter details" and here now you can 
set exact date/time, select the "Repeat" options as in daily, weekly and so on. 
It's all pretty straight forward.

I get the same results when doing reminders in Fantastical II. I have
a weekly reminder each Sunday to take a medication. As I look through
the calendar, I see only the upcoming week's reminder and not the
future reminders. Whenever I mark the task as completed, the reminder
moves to the next week automatically. I've tried using the Walgreens
app for medication reminders, but found that after some time, it
skipped the reminders. So I'm glad the native reminders and apps like
Fantastical are much more consistent.

I tried again, I told Siri to remind me every morning at 8:30 to take One folic 
acid pill. And then I created a second reminder to  remind me every morning at 
11:30am to take one Tarisso…  And when I went into the reminders app this time 
it  showed the correct times and after each entry it indicated daily. it only 
has that in the list of scheduled reminders for tomorrow and Monday and nothing 
beyond that. So as you say Richard maybe it will only show the reminder a few 
days at a time. We will see what happens come tomorrow or Monday. Maybe The app 
only shows you a couple of days at a time.I’d be surprised if i’d be surprised 
if I formally used a wording that was different than what I just used but at

You might try this.   Go to settings.  Then go to reminders.  It will tell you 
to set a default list for reminders. I was having a problem with reminders. 
 For some reason, when I would tell Siri to set a reminder, she would put it in 
another list.  Then I would never get a notification for the reminder.  
This only started  happening about a couple of months ago.   I think I have it 
solved now.  If this isn't clear enough, let me know.

Yes, it is much more efficient to let Siri set the dates for the reminder, 
than doing it yourself.


I also had her set a reminder every five days to change my hearing aid 
batteries.  She did it just fine.

I had not used reminders hardly at all.
I just tried saying to Siri, "set a daily reminder at 5 PM to take my 
melatonin."
It shows it for today.
When I went into edit it, it shows it at 5PM, repeat daily, end repeat never.
So, I suspect that tomorrow, it will remind me again at 5 PM.  If I ask Siri, 
do I have any reminders tomorrow, it says no.
But, it could be it doesn't show up until that day.
After 5 PM tomorrow, I will let you know if it repeated.
Or, I'll check in the morning if I have a reminder for Sunday and let you know.

Reminders app

Hello,
Can anyone tell me how I can tell Siri to set a reminder to repeat every single 
day? There is some thing when you go into edit details that says has the option 
of repeating a daily and then ending never but it doesn’t work. Even after

Hi,
Yes I’ve composed reminders via Siri but getting the phone to set an alarm for 
a time and day doesn’t seem as easy with Siri but I’m glad that we once again 
can do so in the edit details area of a reminder just as we always had before.

First Mr. Apple Accessibility tried to tell me a work around was to use the 
calendar.  I was like I don’t want to use the calendar oy.

So after holding 

I have good news from Apple Accessibility. So in order to make those three 
pickers appear for setting the month, date and year of your reminder turn 
remind me at a time off then all things being equal those boxes should appear. 
Once set to desired day you can turn on remind me at a time and you’ll be good 
to go. If it fails for anyone do report back. I only did it on an existing 
reminder that we were editing for this test case. But I’ll try to create a 
whole new one to see if I can do it when Mr. Apple wasn’t watching over me.

Hi,
Yes I will do that though I just wanted to check amongst friends before 
complaining.  I used Siri to set the reminder but I couldn’t get her to set the 
alarm for it on the day I wanted. I usually go back in and do that manually 
after the fact but now can’t do so with ease.

I am now seeing this as well since updating to 13.2. I will send a feedback 
report to Apple but was wondering if this is being seen by others as well. I 
depend daily on my multiple reminders and liked the new picker boxes.

I think the app has become rather complicated. I use Siri if I am going to set 
a reminder.
I'd call Apple Accessibility and see if they can make sense out of it.

Problem with a list in the Reminders app

In the past I was able to create a list with the reminders app and tell Siri to 
add items to the list. When going into the app and clicking on the list, you 
would then be able to click on check boxes when the item had been purchased or 
completed, etc.
Now when I am in the app I can click on the list, it brings up the Header but 
voiceover will not read the app or show the check boxes, although a sighted 
user tells me the list is there and visible.
This happens on my IPhone 8 running 11.4.1 and the IPhone 6S running ios 12.
Can anyone see if they have the same results?

deleting a folder from within the reminders app

Hi all.  I posed this question a week or so ago and got no answer, so just
in case it didn’t come through I’ll ask once more.  Does anyone know how to
delete a folder from within the reminders app.  I have a folder called
IPhone that I’d like to get rid of.  It seems that any time I ask Siri to
add a reminder it goes into that folder, and I don’t need the folder anyway.
I’ve tried swiping up on the folder name to get to an edit field so I can
delete, also tried using the roter and going into the edit mode to see if
there is a delete prompt.  I’ve also looked from within the folder and don’t
see a delete prompt.  Any thoughts.

If you use Fantastical II, then you can have both reminders and
calendar appointments in the same place. Also, Fantastical lets you
set more than 2 alerts before a calendar event. At times, I have set 3
alerts for a doctor appointment, 1 a week before, and the other two
leading up to the appointment time. I typically use the calendar for
appointments and to remind myself of automatic monthly payments, and
the Reminders I use for very important things  I need to do right
away.

OK, I will try to give you some answers.

The biggest difference in the Calendar app and the Reminders app is that once 
the time of an event in the Calendar goes by, you will not see it again.  But 
in the reminders app, each reminder has a checkbox, and it will remain in your 
reminder list until you check the check box.
It is really up to you how you choose to use the calendar or reminder apps.  
But personally, I use the calendar app for things like doctor appointments, 
birthdays, and other events like that.  I use the reminder app for task that I 
need to get done and want to be reminded of, like taking meds, paying bills, 
and even simple little household chores.
The good thing about reminders is that they have that checkbox, so if you get a 
notification about a reminder that it is time to take care of, but you are busy 
doing something else at the time, and once your done you forget about that 
reminder, no worries, it is still in your list of reminders so when you check, 
you will see it there and you can take care of it then.

One other thing about reminders is that you do not have to assign a date and 
time to the reminder.  This is good for making list like for shopping or 
packing when taking a trip.

Now, you asked about getting a reminder prior to a calender event to let you 
know that it is coming up.  Yes, you can do this, and they are called Alerts.
Currently you can have up to 2 alerts for each calendar event.  They can be 5, 
15, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, 2 days, or 1 week before the event.

Both, the Calendar and Reminder app can be very helpful tools in keeping track 
of every day task and appointments that you might have.  It is really up to you 
how you use them.

If I want a reminder a day before an appointment, this is what I do:  I say, 
"Set a reminder for April 10"  Siri will ask, "what  do you wwant to be 
reminded about?".  Then I say, "I have a doctor appointment tomorrow at 11:00 
A.M.
That's how I do it.

I know of no way of sharing a reminders list unless they are part of your 
family sharing.  This would be a great feature, but Apple has not added it yet.
I tried to see if there was a way of just selecting a list so it might could be 
copied, but had no luck with that either.

Hi all.  I've written a grocery list using my reminders app and would like
to share it so that my friend has it on her phone too.   I can't seem to
find a way to select and copy the entire list so that I can put it into a
text to send to someone.  I thought there was a way to share a reminder, in
this case my grocery list, with someone in your contacts list. I see a spot
that says "sharing" but when I double tap on that I can't find a way to
write a person's name so that I can email or text the information.  I see
something that says "add person" but no text field to put the name into.
Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

alternatives to native reminders app?

Hi List and thank you in advance for any suggestions.
I use the native reminders app heavily including lists. The only real flaw is 
that I want to be able to quickly see what has been completed each day based on 
date and I don't seem to be able to do this. 
My first question is whether this is actually possible in this app and I simply 
don't know how to do it.
Secondly then is whether there is a more suitable app that I can collate this 
information with.
I need to monitor what I get completed each day and have been resorting to even 
opening up a another app to write completions down in. Obviously, it would be 
more efficient to be able to do all of these things in the one app.

Question about the Reminders app

these reminders are not working. What am I doing wrong? They show up under

Alarmed app for quite a while now and have found it to be rock solid and 
very reliable. I have filled it with many reminders throughout the day, 
week, month, and year, and it has never failed me. This app will give you 
great customization in terms of how and when you want to use your alarms.

To add to this, one can set alarmed to import all your regular reminders
whenever you make them and you can then read them in the alarmed app. I have
found this very useful in that you can easily modify the imported reminders
with different sounds, adding notes, causing them to remind you on various
schedules, etc. Of course, you can also use the app to create your own
reminders as well. It can also be used as a stop watch or a count down
timer.

Alarmed app for quite a while now and have found it to be rock solid and
very reliable. I have filled it with many reminders throughout the day,
week, month, and year, and it has never failed me. This app will give you
great customization in terms of how and when you want to use your alarms.

There are a few ways to do this. 1. Find your reminder in the notification 
Center and double tap on the unchecked button. 2. Go to the reminders app and 
check the checkbox in a similar fashion. 3. When the reminder goes off, double 
tap on options and double tap mark as completed.

Denice,

List Recorder is a wonderful app but I would never use it as a straight 
reminders app.  One big reason at least for me is that Siri works great 
with reminders so I can simply invoke Siri and say remind me to call 
the doctor tomorrow at 9am.


Siri sets the reminder for you and you get the appropriate alarm at the 
correct time.  If you wanted to get fancy which I personally don't do, 
you can even set reminders based on locations if you have location 
services turned on.

Hi,

A couple of big differences are that List Recorder doesn't play an alarm to 
remind you to do something; it's just a way to keep lists. On the other 
hand,you can record those lists, write text, or do both in List Recorder.

I don’t have it. I saw a podcast on AppleVis about it. I use the native 
reminders app for most things. As I saw, Nudge is a nice easy little app too, 
but I don’t remember if it is free or not.

Someone on Applevis had the same problem when searching for the app.
