Han on,

Are you about sirii or voiceover?

They are two different thinsers.

Siri is who you say hey siri, what is the weather today

And she will hopefully reply.

So if it’s voiceover you’re spin ers twice quickly on the screen to see if vo
has been muted.

Dependin t hand side in and ask the question after it beeps at you.

Hope this helps.

Try asking Siri something with a long answer like what is the 10 day forecast,
and then start tapping the up volume button.

Siri normally remembers whatever volume it was left at.

I also turn off the change with buttons option in sounds so I don’t
accidentally silence VoiceOver or Siri.

Hi,

Siri has stopped talking. For example, when I ask Siri to spell a word I get
silence. I can use finger gestures to spell out the word, but until a couple
days ago Siri would automatically sell it out. Siri is just as silent when I
ask something else.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I've always used the Irish male voice, well, at least for over a year, and had

Re: Siri not talking

2020-06-26 Thread Diane Giannetti
I am surely glad that someone else had the same problem. I was going
back-and-forth with a friend of mine and he was trying to tell me what to do
with the volume and nothing was working. Siri would not answer in the same
problem that you were having penny. So I did change the voice I had the
American female now I have the American mail and he seems to be working fine.

Re: Siri not talking

2020-06-26 Thread Penny Reeder
I had the same experience, apparently right after i installed the latest
update, but i didn’t notice until last night. I thought i must have
inadverently changed a setting, but after spending time in Settings, i couldn’t
solve the problem. I called Apple Accessibility support, and they told me i
could either reinstall the whole operating system or download Siri’s British
voice, which is what i chose to do. The Apple guy says the issue will be
resolved with the next update, and after installing that, i can get Siri’s
American voice back. But, i kind of like having Mary Poppins on my phone.

RE: Siri not talking

2020-06-26 Thread Richard Turner
Try asking Siri something with a long answer like what is the 10 day forecast,
and then start tapping the up volume button.

Siri normally remembers whatever volume it was left at.

I also turn off the change with buttons option in sounds so I don’t
accidentally silence VoiceOver or Siri.

Subject: Siri not talking

Hi,

Siri has stopped talking. For example, when I ask Siri to spell a word I get
silence. I can use finger gestures to spell out the word, but until a couple
days ago Siri would automatically sell it out. Siri is just as silent when I
ask something else.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
