I was scanning a book that has lots of Bible verse references and Voice Dream kept them much clearer than did SuperSense. I don’t' scan a lot of stuff, but there are times when SuperSense does a fine job. That is why it is good to have both available. I find the interface of Voice Dream Scanner a little more to my liking. That could be familiarity, but this is all about personal preference, right? If SuperSense gets to where it can handle columns, it could likely become my go to app when I do want to scan a book. Today I went to a French class where the teacher gave out a sheet on which she had typed out some French expressions and had added all the accents manually with a pen. I used Supersense to extract the text and imported it into Voice Dream reader and it was perfect! Horses for courses as they say? I see that now, but it would have to completely blow my socks off to spend $49 for an app for scanning, though I gather it does barcodes and such too. I have Voice Dream Scanner and Seeing AI and between those two, I can scan and recognize bar codes quite well. If I get a promo code to check it out in its current version, I will give it a full test of all its features and then decide if my socks are blown off, grin. Hi there, I sent you a message last night, but wasn’t sure if you saw it so I thought I would reply again I love love love love love super sense did I say I love the app? The only problem I have is that I just sent for a lifetime subscription not realizing that your prices would be reduced it is definitely worth the money but I wish I had waited and could have gotten it at a lower cost. Hi there, My name is Shane, and I work for Supersense. Thanks so much to all of you who have been looking into the app! Yes, our goal is to support as many languages as possible, and while the processing isn't perfect for each one yet, the app currently has the capability of scanning any written language with better results than I have seen in any other app. For clarification, I am a totally blind iPhone user. We're also working on the app regularly. For many of us, Supersense is our full-time employment, and we are really dedicated to the project. We tend to put out updates once every two weeks, and for the next little bit we're battening down the hatches and focusing on solidifying the features we already have to make for the best user experience. Of course, any new features we develop are included in the lifetime cost of the app, so you won't have to pay for Supersense more than once. I am not sure how well it works but PhotoTranslate app does have urdu in the list of supported languages Sindhi and Punjabi are also supported. Hi Richard, Now SuperSense supports Arabic and Hebrew and about sixty languages. I tried it with Hebrew and Arabic and it is okay. Yes I have been using Seeing AI and Voice Dream Scanner for all of my English OCR needs. They do a very good job. I have also bought the KNFB reader few years ago and to my dismay I consider my 100 dollars to have been a loss. I am hesitant to buy SuperSense afraid I may regret few months down the road. I am not sure if the developer would continue to support the app, or if the free and low cost apps would start to support non-Latin-Based languages. I am not sure if it supports Urdu. Download the app and try it for two weeks free and see if it supports Urdu. I tried it for Arabic and Hebrew and it does an okay job.
