Hi Candy, I’m replying to your question this way because I first saw your message in my iPhone but haven’t seen it on the computer yet. Anyway, yes, you can watch TV on Uverse by clicking live TV. You can also do some things with on demand but it was once more accessible than it seems to be now. I signed up for the free trial of Hulu last night as well. Like you, I mostly watch TV on my phone but my sister needs real TV. She doesn’t like TV on the phone. It may be because it’s too small on the screen but she’d rather use it for other things like Facebook and a few games. There is a code that has to be put in the remote, when I first got Uverse I had to have the technician put the codes in for each tv set, and label them living room and bedroom, so my remote knew which set I wanted to work with. That is the only reason I can think of that your remote doesn't see your television. I have never recorded a series, so all my recorded shows just shows up in a list, but I can watch whatever I want by choosing it. Hope this helps. some questions about the uverse remote control using the app

watching live TV At Uverse app
For some reason I keep getting an error when attempting to watch channels on my phone using the Uverse app. Everything else is accessible. So I was wondering if anyone has the Uverse app and has been able to get that part to work? Apple tv and uverse
I have my apple tv and uverse programed to work on my bt speaker and I am having trouble getting the apple tv or uverse to work properly now. A uverse tech set it up with the hdmi cables. Last night, our internet, phone, and cable went out for a few minutes. I am having trouble getting things to work again. I don't wantto schedule another tech out here again, but will if I have no more options. I think there is something on the tv screen that needs clearing before everything works again. Could someone using uverse and apple tv tell me what to push to get things running again? The last tech that came out showed me which buttons to push on the control but that's not working now. Any suggestions? I can get the apple tv to play music through my bt speaker, but no voice over. Sometimes I can hear the siri beeps through the speaker. Apple tv and uverse
Has anyone successfully connected their apple tv to their tv and a uverse box? I just got a new apple tv and want to be able to hook it to the uverse box and my new tv without disconnecting cables? I know that this can be done because I looked at some forms on uverse about people doing this. I am just wondering about this from the accessibility level of this. I know there are extra port on the box but don't know what it is used for. I don't know if it's an hdmi port. I know my new tv has the hdmi port. Thanks for any thoughts on this. help with the uverse app
I am wondering if it's has changed with the various updates. I was kicked out of it and hadn't been in in a while, had to reset my pass word and all that. I am trying to set my dvr up to record something and either I ha ve forgetten the steps to do so, or it's different now. I find recordings and time and date or a to z but when I tap on either one the guide keeps coming up, even if I search for a channel and then try to set up a time and date I lose it once I tap on time or try to find the show I want. I just can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Any help some one can give, off list if better, would be appreciated. Yes, you can set it up for future recordings. You need to go into the Guide feature which is the lower left. Then, you need to find the correct date/time, and then the channel. The Guide isn't as user-friendly as some other TV Guide apps are in my opinion. If you double-tap on the show, you have the option of recording the epsode or a series. Hello all,I've had pretty good luck in using the Uverse and Easy Remote apps. Also, make sure to get the My ATT app because you can check and pay your bill, and there are options for troubleshooting your tv or Internet services. The only trouble I've had is that I cannot figure out if there is a way to turn on the SAP feature using the easy remote. I also tried asking ATT to tell me which buttons to push on the regular remote, but I think it involves going in to menus which aren't accessible as far as I know. Can SAP be turned on using either the uverse or remote apps? I have a button for it on one of my tv remotes but it doesn't do anything. Bullcrap! They do for some channels. The problem is, it is about five levels deep in the menus. On my remote: 1. Hit menu. 2. Arrow five times to channel options. 3. Down arrow three times to Audio Language. Hit Ok. 4. I think it is on Spanish at that point. I think Spanish may also be the audio-described channel where that is available. Because it is such a pain to use, I rarely do. But, those instructions were from the ATT Tech and I verified it as the installation was completed. Now, if you have a different model DVR, your menus could be different. I had to have a tech come back out today to fix a phone situation, so I had him set up the remotes and I told him how. Seems if you ok and save things would be set but maybe not. I doubt it works though because i can't get my SAP to work on my TV. I wish I would be pleasantly surprised and find it does work. Hi there yes I agree it works quite well. One thing I've noticed is that at least with me unless I'm doing something wrong, if I choose a program that has been recorded over a period of three days, choosing the older one with the easy remote still makes me choose the newer one no matter what. For example if I have a program which I recorded on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and choose the Wednesday one, no matter what I do it seems to only choose the Friday one. I don't record much so have no experience with this. Also,their is a tab for the remote on the main UVerse app but it doesn't seem to be accessible. The buttons are not labeled though. Hi there that is correct. The remote tab in the U-verse app is not accessible. However if you get the Easy Remote U-verse app, it's a separate app that I gave the list a link to in an earlier message, it will be completely accessible. You will need sighted assistance to pair the app with the receiver but once it's done it works great. There is a UVerse app that allows you to schedule recordings. Just look for the one that says Uverse. There is also one that is a talking remote, but you need to enter in your receiver ID on-screen to get it to work. Hello. I am getting Uverse tomorrow. I know there is an app for it and I listened to the podcast a long time ago. BlankKaren, As far as the iPhone, the app is a bit clunky. You can schedule a recording if you use the search tab and type in the name of the show you want to record, or a general descriptor like Boxing if you want to find the different boxing episodes. I can't get the app to display upcoming content by channel nor can I use the browse function. I can bring up the list of shows I've recorded but I can't get them to start playing using the phone's interface. Luckily, with the remote, if you press the view recordings button, the recordings you've made are listed in chronological order with the newest at the top. You can then start playing that one, or down-arrow to the next-newest recording, etc. When you are done playing them, you hit the stop button. There is a menu that comes up. The first option is to resume the recording at the point you stopped, hitting down arrow goes to start playing from the beginning, and another press of the down-arrow will delete the current recording if you press Ok. the app seems to work well, but I can't seem to get the app to connect to my receiver. has anyone who has uverse and tried to use this app had any experience getting it to connect? thanks.
