Unfortunately, no there is no way to prevent a friend from being able to see 
your Facebook pots, except on a post by post basis.

Hi Chris,

I believe there’s a way to restrict accounts. For example if you don’t want me 
to see your Facebook posts, you can go into my profile, under the more button 
there should be options like unfriend, block, see friendship, restrict? I know 
there’s a way to take breaks from seeing posts from people you don’t want to 
see. I’ve never really fiddled around with any of those buttons sorry! But 
since Facebook and Instagram are pretty connected because they’re in the same 
family now I’m sure there are ways to restrict people from seeing your posts.

Wow, I’ve used the Facebook app for years and never knew about the Activity 
Log. That was perfect! Thanks! Oh, one minor point of clarification in case 
anybody else wants to find it. Double-tap the  Facebook Menu Tab, then flick 
down to Profile Tools and double-tap it. Then, starting from the Back button at 
top left, flick right five times.

Apparently I'm not the only one who uses Facebook to upload pictures. Hail

Facebook has a nice place to create albums andorganize photos so friends and 
family can  go to one place at their leisure and look at them. Problem is that 
with Facebook changing things around all the time, easy ways to access things 
might not be the same from update to update. Things change around even if you 
havent  updated.

I am not running the latest version of Facebook so maybe I should update. I 
also hear that you used to be able to move the order of photos within an album 
but that appears not to be doable anymore. Can you do it with the latest 
version?
On the PC interestingly enough, I just discovered that one screenreader lets me 
into the photo albums, and gives me  all the options that are available to 
sighted folks, but the other screen reader doesn't.

I don’t setup photo folders on Facebook. I share photos to Facebook from my 
device. I don’t know anyone who saves photos to Facebook to share directly from 
Facebook. Maybe this is why your questionhasn’t been answered.

Using the latest version of Facebook on iPhone I am able to access the photos 
as well as other albums and comments. 
What I cannot do consistently is once I’m inside of an album and choose a 
picture, a three finger swipe left or right is not consistent to go to the 
previous or next picture.

Hi

When receiving posts from groups or comments by email from Facebook, only 
getting part of the post from a group or comment , then being prompted to go to 
Facebook to read the entire post in a group or comment has been this way since 
2009, when I started using Facebook. This is the reason I gave up using email 
to be notified of a post in a group or a comment on a post. It is less time 
consuming to just use the Facebook app or the mobile Facebook website to check 
for post in groups or comments on a post, by swiping through Notifications on 
Facebook.

Rich,

If you want to copy a Facebook post do a three finger tap four times. Or you 
can do a two finger tap twice & hold. This will bring up a dialogue box. Edit 
any part of the Facebook if needed. Turn the rotor to Edit, flick to Copy, go 
to where ever you want to share the post. In an edit field turn the rotor to 
Edit, flick to paste, tap the post button.

If you go to your Aunts profile or the profile of anyone on Facebook, select 
About there should be contact info there if the people has the info available 
to share. The contact email may not be the email that you would typically use 
to contact people. The email address Im using to send this reply is the email I 
use on a daily basis. My contact email on Facebook is an email address 
generated by Facebook when I setup my account 8 years ago.

A Facebook Question

I’ve been using Facebook for years, with both the mobile web site and the 
Facebook app. My aunt’s birthday is today and I could write on her timeline or 
contact her via e-mail but I don’t have her e-mail address. Is there a way to 
retrieve her e-mail address through Facebook? I wasn’t sure if such a thing is 
possible and have been curious about that for a long time. It seems like such a 
capability might be useful for situations like this, and also for situations 
where I’m trying to look somebody up on Facebook and get multiple hits but 
can’t identify the correct person(s) by the image alone. Any ideas?

I stick to the main list and it shows most of the message there, and just 
scroll down.  i have to divert into things to read comments, so expect to 
have to dig around to get to where I was.  But it is usually the current 
screen when I do back up.

The first thing you have to do when you hear him say go is turn Voiceover 
off. and I have the triple home click enabled for this reason.


after which, its just a matter of tapping randomly on the screen. and hoping

The first thing you have to do when you hear him say go is turn Voiceover
off. and I have the triple home click enabled for this reason.

IM plus and Facebook question and deleting mails question.

Hello list,
I have been using facebook with IM plus pro for a while and it worked fine.
My friends got their iphones a few days ago and they asked me to help 
connecting Facebook with IM plus.
So we clicked add a new account button, then chose Facebook and there 
was connect with Facebook button. after clicking on that the regular 
Facebook page should have opened to type Facebook user name and 
password, but app store opened wanting us to instal Facebook for IOS. 
since we already have this app installed, we clicked open button, but 
could not find any option to connect IM plus with Facebook.
Unfortunately, I messed my Facebook account on IM plus when I was trying 
to help them and it does not work for me any more.

There is another issue with their Iphones regarding deleting mails.
I have been using Iphone 4 and the  latest version of IOS. When I open 
maill app and find an e-mail I want to delete (no matter whether mail is 
read or unread), when I do one-finger flick up without opening an e-mail 
first, I get the following options: Open is default, then I have 
delete option and more option.
My friends have iphone 5 using the latest version of IOS. When they open 
mail app and they want to delete mails, they have the following options: 
Open is default, archive option and more option. There is no 
delete option at all.

I have heard a few people using Iphone 5 have this issue deleting mails.
If thhere is someone knowing the solutions for IM plus or mails, please 
let me know.

Any kind of help would be appreciated.

I keep remembering how much better Facebook on the iPhone is now than when
it first came out, and I'm very happy with it. While we want, and need,
full accessibility, we need to celebrate the progress as well. Kudos to
Facebook for the good work that has been done!!

Facebook for iPhone, but the great news that it runs better than it does 
on the iPhone, this is on an iPad mini with Retina Display if that helps.

Okay,  I did these things and did get on the timeline. However, there is still 
a line that says 147 friends have written on my timeline, and I still am having 
the same problem interacting with it. 

Any other suggestions?

What you mean is you want to tag one of your friends in a random place 
of your post, likeI've met up with John Smith this morning and we 
decided to go for lunch after work?
Now this is not gonna be  a strictly iOS suggestion although I believe 
it would work there:
Whenever you want to place a tag for some friend, put the following 
string in your post:

@[id:name]
ID is the random bunch of numbers that each Facebook profile has as one 
of the usernames.

You can find out the one your friend has by going to
http://graph.facebook.com/username
name is the full name of your friend as he/she put it in his/her FB profile.
so for example @[123456789:John Smith] will tag someone called John 
Smith who happens to have such ID.
Now for some iOS advice: the original Facebook app can do that just 
fine. Whenever you want to tag somebody insert the @ (at) sign and start 
typing your friend's name. Suggestions will pop up above the edit field 
with your post and you'll be able to pick one.

I have a friend who can’t get her dictation feature to work on an iPhone 4s 
using the latest ios update.  How does one turn this back on?  
Also, I want to post multiple photos using the native facebook app and when I 
go to select all it says there are no photos selected.  
Does anyone know of a way to accomoplish this?

Ok maybe she does not have an active internet connection. I don't know

I have spent the last couple of months wrestling with exactly the same
Facebook problem as you and think I have finally got my head around it.

Firstly the way Facebook is sorting your feed when everything seems all over
the place is basically sorting items based on their popularity. So if a post
that has been dead for a few days receives a comment from someone then it
will jump back to the top of the list as Facebook is trying to show you that

establish at what point I didn't need to go any further as I had already
read the stories.

There is indeed a way to sort your feed in different ways but a word of
warning before I tell you how. It does not stick. If you go into
notification's at any point and tap on an item and then hit back to get back
to your feed you may discover that your newsfeed is back in that annoying
sort order. This happens often when you leave the app and load it again or
if you log out of the app and back in. Basically it  requires diligence to
keep the feed sorted in anything other than the newsfeed view.

As for sorting the list otherwise, other posters are correct... at the top
of the feed you will find a control that will allow you to do this. It is
not particularly clear but it will be the control after  check-in. The
control will be named whatever view you are in so most likely this says
newsfeed. After this you may have a list of one or two other sort methods
such as most recent, following etc. If you hear only newsfeed before it goes
onto your feed then double tap on newsfeed and this will expand the list of
sort methods to include one or two more and also a see more item which if
you double tap on will show the whole list of sort options. 

If you don't even get the newsfeed control at the top of your feed then pull
down to refresh and sometimes it appears.

Most recent is a good one to sort your feed with newest stuff at the top and

if you only want to see posts from your friends not from groups you are in

I've try Paul suggestion, but it doens't work. For som reason, newsfeed become 
a heading rather than anything else on the home screen. And, if i go to main 
menu; newsfeed setting, it only give me the two option, reason stories or top 
stories.

Any idea how to get around this?

I tried voicebook, but doesn't really like it.

it works.  When the facebook app opens, do the following.  Double tap on the 
button that says all friends. This, then, put all my stories in order on my 
news feed.

Hi all:
If you go to the very top, that means make it back up to row one, it would give 
you status, newsfeed, and then a list of most recent, friends, etc. You have to 
tap on the most recent if there's a number after it. Then it will put your 
stories in order, for a while.

Which iPhone are you using … 4, 4S, 5? have you used other Facebook apps to 
navigate Facebook before such as voice book or facely or anything like that? I 
believe you mentioned that before though I do not remember.

I am sorry I have more questions than answers at this point. 

Oh, if you are seeing the same things I am and it appears that you are, there 
is no need to double tap on news feed and then on most recent or see more. if 
you see news feed, just double tap on most recent.

I have Iphone 4.
I have used Voicebook Vo to navigate Facebook, but Voicebook does not 
show the statuses from some groups I have been signed in.
Yes, I double tap on most recent, but each time I do that I get 
messages or camera roll and I really do not know why it is happening.

You may want to attempt to uninstall and then reinstall Facebook. I do not know 
if you still are committed to using voice book. if you are fine. If not, you

I haven't been able to do this unless I accidentally went up too high on the
screen and it went to photo instead of comment.  I agree to uninstall FB and
reinstall it and see if something happened to corrupt the file a bit.

I know it's been a week or so since it has been posted here, but I tried 
it just today and it works perfect.

Is it possible to get push notifications from the websites you like as well?
Just wondering because it works with my close friends list, but cannot 
find the option for the websites/groups I like.

On the mobile site go to friends, search for and click on the user of 
interest, click manage lists, and check get notifications and close 
friends. Click done.

If you tap the top left button and swipe down to the end of the choices, you'll 
find settings. Tap this and you will find choices. You can turn them off 
permanently if you want. Otherwise notification center is the way to go.

I do not know, but, I just asked a sighted friend to take a look as
well.  She is not seeing any obvious way to delete messages.  I can
bring up a menu asking if I want to set to unread or archive, but not
delete.

Before in the previous version of the Facebook app, you could double tap, 
holding on the second tap, and slide your finger left to right, or visa versa 
to delete an inbox messages. Now with the update last night, it appears that 
you cannot do this anymore. Does anyone know how this is done now?
