Re: entering my e-mail address on a web site

2014-10-28 Thread Dan Beaver
Hi,

I haven't seen this on web sites but I have seen it while using braille
input in the app store.

If I open the search field and type something in there and then click the
search button it works fine. the problem occurs when I then go back to the
search field and try to type something new. I switch to the braille input
keyboard and it seems to be working except that when I check the field VO
says what I entered first.

I asked my wife to look at it and she says the search field shows my new
entry but VO still says my original search entry.

I have been trying to figure out more details so I could report this to
Apple Accessibility.

If anyone else can figure it out I'd sure appreciate it.

Subject: entering my e-mail address on a web site

Hello everyone, I have a question and I hope I can explain it correctly.
When I go to enter my e-mail address on some web sites, if I am using a blue
tooth keyboard, I can't type. I just hear the knocking noise. Then if I
try to use the braille input, same thing. If I use the regular apple
keyboard on the phone, I am able to type. Has anyone else experienced this
problem?

Re: entering my e-mail address on a web site

2014-10-28 Thread RobH.
Suggestion: with search fields, crank the rotor round to Edit, flick
up.down to Select all, ditto cut; now start typing again, sorry, crank
the rotor back to braille input and it should be a clear field to work in.
I know I've done this, just did it out of frustration at keep seeing my
previous in there.

Re: entering my e-mail address on a web site

2014-10-27 Thread Teresa Cochran
Hi, Candy,

When you use an external keyboard, there's a mode called QuickNav. This is the
mode that lets you use the arrow keys on the keyboard to work the rotor. There
is a bug in iOS8 that requires you to turn this mode off once you enter an edit
field. You do this by pressing both side-arrow keys on the hardware keyboard
until you hear QuickNav off. At this point, you can begin typing.

Teresa
