Re: how much space will left after installing 8.1 on i phone 4s 8gb
IOS 8.1 and VO will work on an iPhone 4S 8G. You'll need quite a bit of free space to install IOS 8.1 (less if you use iTuens from your Mac or PC), but once it's installed, you won't have any less space. There are more bugs in IOS 8.1 than you listed below. There's a focus bug where in some applications you need to make sure the object is actually visible on the display before you can work with it. This means more scrolling around. I'd suggest checking out applevis.com before making the decision. they'll have a more exhaustive list of the bugs still remaining in IOS 8.1. BTW, you may just want to wait for IOS 8.1.1, which is supposed to be in beta right now and has a lot of bug fixes in it, especially for the older devices. Depends how many apps you use, or media you play. I'd get away with it as a minimalist user, ubt it will be a bit of a tight fit and you'll have to delete stuff to make room; maybe all your stuff and put it back after when you see how much space is left. 8Ggbg is a surprise, didn't know they made the 4S that low. I still have 11 of 16 on my 4S. - Original Message - From: ram kalia rameshkalia...@gmail.com To: viphone viphone@googlegroups.com Sent: Sunday, November 09, 2014 10:48 AM Subject: how much space will left after installing 8.1 on i phone 4s 8gb hi friends hello from this side, i have 4s 8gb i am thinking to update it to ios 8.1but have some doubts : 1. I have IOS 8.1 on my 4S, and I don't find it unstable. There are some bugs, but they're mostly the same bugs affecting all devices. Re: how much space will left after installing 8.1 on i phone 4s 8gb
The major problem that I encountered with this iphone4s device is that voiceover randomly turned off and on. Sometimes, a hard reset even had to be done to bring back voiceover. This was also a problem on the iPhone 5, but iOS 8.1 fix that on the iPhone 5. I would wait at this point for the iOS 8.1.1 release and once it comes out check the list for a few days before upgrading and see what people have to say. As Christopher says, 8.1.1 is supposed to address performance issues on older devices and my guess is that it will come out in the next 3 or 4 weeks.
