I was in Email when I tested it and I’m running iOS 13.4.1, so that may be the

Of course, there seems to always be some app outliers that don’t widen when
landscaped.
Not sure why that is.

RE: New SE iPhone Keyboard

2020-04-23 Thread Richard Turner
Well, Mike, I’d call Apple Accessibility and have them do a screen share.
I just unlocked my orientation again, opened messages, started a new message,
turned the phone to landscape and the keyboard stretch across the screen
completely.

Something isn’t right. Again, this is with iOS 13.4.1.

Re: New SE iPhone Keyboard

Mike,
I just unlocked orientation on my old SE, and the keyboard widen in landscape
just like all iPhones.
I usually keep the orientation locked, but after testing, I think you had
misinformation.
I should be able to confirm on the new SE after it arrives tomorrow.

Re: unhiding the iphone keyboard

2017-01-13 Thread Scott Davert
Hi Rebecca.
To mz knowledge, there is not a gesture which will accomplicsh this. You have
to either hit the eject key on your BT keyboard or space with sh on your
braille keyboard. You can take the time to go to the braille settings under VO
and toggle the show/hide on-screen keyboard, but I've found this doesn't always
bring it back either. You may wish to consider reporting this to Apple as a
bug. Not sure it will be resolved, as it's been around for several versions of
iOS. I forgot about it until you brought it up last week.

iPhone Keyboard

2014-04-17 Thread Brice Smith
Hi,

This might be an odd question, but I’ve been curious for months so here goes:

Why does the default iPhone keyboard look different depending on the
application you use, and is there a way to change this?

Ever since IOS 7, the iPhone keyboard that appears on screen has
looked different than previous versions of the operating system, and I
know that low-vision users complained about the look of this for a
while. But the keyboard also looks different depending on the
application you’re in.

The keyboard in the messaging app, for example, is very bright and the
keys look kind of faded. But the same Apple on-screen keyboard in
Search iPhone or in the Youtube app looks much darker, and the keys
stand out to someone with low vision.

Does anyone know why the on-screen keyboard looks different depending
on what you’re doing? Is it possible to set the darker keyboard as
default?

Thanks.

Fred, are you referring to the Logitech Easy-switch K811 keyboard?
This has a rechargeable battery and is an outstanding device.
Logitech also makes a solar-powered keyboard whose model number is
K760.

Julie, the Apple TV is a box which connects to your tv. It
can and should be
used as part of a home network, but can be connected
directly to a computer
or modem. If all you want is to make use of Netflix than a
cable account is
not necessary. I expect this is also true when making use
of
MLB-TV and even
perhapse NFL.com's NFL package. If you do, though have
Cable
TV this allows
you to pick up other things like ESPN, PBS, etc. I suggest
you go to

As far as the keyboard you asked about is concerned, it
can

to three Apple devices. It is the size of a standard

$85.00 but
retails for $99 when purchasing via Apple.

How do you define "small"? You can get mini Bluetooth
keyboards which are
pretty much exactly the same size as an iPhone, but
those
are not really
designed to be used as a regular keyboard where you do
correct 10-finger
typing.
If you want this then the Apple Wireless keyboard is
very
good, the
Logitech
Easyswitch K811 is excellent and a lot of people like
the
Amazon Basics
Keyboard as a more budget option.
I like how the Apple Wireless keyboard feels, but I
don't
like the fact
that
the on/off switch is a button on the right side at the
back, even if you
turn it off chances are it will turn on if you have it
in
a pack.
I just ordered the Logitech EasySwitch K811 which is
also
very well-made.
It
has a physical slider switch on the right side which is
great, it also
has a
built-in rechargeable battery whereas the Apple Wireless
keyboard uses 2
Double A batteries and the main reason why I bought the
Logitech K811 is
because you can pair it with up to 3 devices at the same
time and all you
have to do to switch from 1 to the next or the third is
press F1, F2 or
F3.
I currently have only 2 iOS devices, my iPhone and my
Apple TV, and I
will
pair it with both so that I can easily use the same
keyboard. The name
"EasySwitch" truly applies.
I had in fact, ordered the K810 keyboard which is the
same thing except
it's
made for PC's and mobile devices. It did work OK with
the
iPhone as well,
but it has Windows Key and Alt instead of Command and
Option so the VO
key
is a different key combination. Anyhow, since I wanted
it
exclusively for
my
iPhone and Apple TV I decided to return it (I bought it
from Amazon) for
a
refund and I ordered the K811 from the Apple Store using
the Apple Store
app. It will arrive on Monday.
The price for the K810 on Amazon here in Canada was $79,
the K811 from
the
Apple Store was $99, but on Amazon Canada they wanted
$131. On Amazon.com
the K811 is only $72 or $77 or something around there.

Lastly, Logitech also makes a model K76

This has a rechargeable battery and is an outstanding device.

Julie, the Apple TV is a box which connects to your tv. It
can and should be
used as part of a home network, but can be connected
directly to a computer
or modem. If all you want is to make use of Netflix than a
cable account is
not necessary. I expect this is also true when making use
of

How do you define "small"? You can get mini Bluetooth
keyboards which are
pretty much exactly the same size as an iPhone, but
those
are not really
designed to be used as a regular keyboard where you do
correct 10-finger
typing.
If you want this then the Apple Wireless keyboard is
very
good, the
Logitech
Easyswitch K811 is excellent and a lot of people like
the
Amazon Basics
Keyboard as a more budget option.
I like how the Apple Wireless keyboard feels, but I
don't
like the fact
that
the on/off switch is a button on the right side at the
back, even if you
turn it off chances are it will turn on if you have it
in
a pack.
I just ordered the Logitech EasySwitch K811 which is
also
very well-made.
It
has a physical slider switch on the right side which is
great, it also
has a
built-in rechargeable battery whereas the Apple Wireless
keyboard uses 2
Double A batteries and the main reason why I bought the
Logitech K811 is
because you can pair it with up to 3 devices at the same
time and all you
have to do to switch from 1 to the next or the third is
press F1, F2 or

that, it can only
switch between 2 devices, but it's solar powered which,
had that been
available for a model which can handle 3 devices, I
would
have preferred.
But in the end keyboards last a long time anyways and
the
K810 and K811
are
rechargeable so it's not a big deal to plug it in over
night every few
months.

Oh, the K810 and K811 are pretty much the same size as
an
Apple Wireless
keyboard, about 12 inches long

Re: Awesome iPhone Keyboard

2014-01-26 Thread Fanus
Hi Fred
Are the keys of the keyboard all on the same level as on a
laptop or are they more like the keys on a PC keyboard?

Julie, the Apple TV is a box which connects to your tv. It
can and should be
used as part of a home network, but can be connected
directly to a computer
or modem. If all you want is to make use of Netflix than a
cable account is
not necessary. I expect this is also true when making use of
MLB-TV and even
perhapse NFL.com's NFL package. If you do, though have Cable
TV this allows
you to pick up other things like ESPN, PBS, etc. I suggest
you go to
http://www.apple.com and search for Apple TV to find out
other information
about this device. I was so impressed with the one I
received from Santa
that I bought another one for use in my bedroom.

As far as the keyboard you asked about is concerned, it can
be used with up
to three Apple devices. It is the size of a standard
computer keyboard. The
keyboard can, I understand be had via Amazon.com for about
$85.00 but
retails for $99 when purchasing via Apple.

How do you define "small"? You can get mini Bluetooth keyboards which
are

pretty much exactly the same size as an iPhone, but those are not really
designed to be used as a regular keyboard where you do correct 10-finger
typing.
If you want this then the Apple Wireless keyboard is very good, the
Logitech

Easyswitch K811 is excellent and a lot of people like the Amazon Basics
Keyboard as a more budget option.
I like how the Apple Wireless keyboard feels, but I don't like the fact
that

the on/off switch is a button on the right side at the back, even if you
turn it off chances are it will turn on if you have it in a pack.
I just ordered the Logitech EasySwitch K811 which is also very
well-made. It
has a physical slider switch on the right side which is great, it also
has a

built-in rechargeable battery whereas the Apple Wireless keyboard uses 2
Double A batteries and the main reason why I bought the Logitech K811 is
because you can pair it with up to 3 devices at the same time and all
you
have to do to switch from 1 to the next or the third is press F1, F2 or
F3.
I currently have only 2 iOS devices, my iPhone and my Apple TV, and I
will

pair it with both so that I can easily use the same keyboard. The name
"EasySwitch" truly applies.
I had in fact, ordered the K810 keyboard which is the same thing except
it's
made for PC's and mobile devices. It did work OK with the iPhone as
well,
but it has Windows Key and Alt instead of Command and Option so the VO
key
is a different key combination. Anyhow, since I wanted it exclusively
for my
iPhone and Apple TV I decided to return it (I bought it from Amazon) for
a

refund and I ordered the K811 from the Apple Store using the Apple Store
app. It will arrive on Monday.
The price for the K810 on Amazon here in Canada was $79, the K811 from
the
Apple Store was $99, but on Amazon Canada they wanted $131. On
Amazon.com

the K811 is only $72 or $77 or something around there.

Lastly, Logitech also makes a model K760 or close to that, it can only
switch between 2 devices, but it's solar powered which, had that been
available for a model which can handle 3 devices, I would have
preferred.
But in the end keyboards last a long time anyways and the K810 and K811
are

rechargeable so it's not a big deal to plug it in over night every few
months.

Oh, the K810 and K811 are pretty much the same size as an Apple Wireless
keyboard, about 12 inches long and maybe 5 or so inches wide. They do
not
fold, but while you couldn't stick them in a coat pocket, they are very
easy

to carry along if you have a shoulder bag, messenger bag or backpack.

Good luck,
Sieghard

You don't need cable service to use Apple TV. Apple TV is a box which
let's you watch contenct from iTunes and other sources, like Netflix and
Hulu, on a connected TV. You can read more about it at

How much is the Logitech keyboard and what is Apple TV and do you need a TV
or cable service to get service with apple TV through it?

How do you define "small"? You can get mini Bluetooth keyboards which are
pretty much exactly the same size as an iPhone, but those are not really
designed to be used as a regular keyboard where you do correct 10-finger

I just ordered the Logitech EasySwitch K811 which is also very well-made.
It
has a physical slider switch on the right side which is great, it also has
a

built-in rechargeable battery whereas the Apple Wireless keyboard uses 2
Double A batteries and the main reason why I bought the Logitech K811 is
because you can pair it with up to 3 devices at the same time and all you
have to do to switch from 1 to the next or the third is press F1, F2 or
F3.

I currently have only 2 iOS devices, my iPhone and my Apple TV, and I will
pair it with both so that I can easily use the same keyboard. The name
"EasySwitch" truly applies.
I had in fact, ordered the K810 keyboard which is the same thing except
it's

made for PC's and mobile devices. It did work OK with the iPhone as well,
but it has Windows Key and Alt instead of Command and Option so the VO key
is a different key combination. Anyhow, since I wanted it exclusively for
my

iPhone and Apple TV I decided to return it (I bought it from Amazon) for a
refund and I ordered the K811 from the Apple Store using the Apple Store
app. It will arrive on Monday.
The price for the K810 on Amazon here in Canada was $79, the K811 from the
Apple Store was $99, but on Amazon Canada they wanted $131. On Amazon.com
the K811 is only $72 or $77 or something around there.

Lastly, Logitech also makes a model K760 or close to that, it can only
switch between 2 devices, but it's solar powered which, had that been
available for a model which can handle 3 devices, I would have preferred.

They do not
fold, but while you couldn't stick them in a coat pocket, they are very
easy

to carry along if you have a shoulder bag, messenger bag or backpack.

Good luck,
Sieghard

Ryan Seacrest has a thing about keyboards. The TV host and media personality
has long carried two phones -- an iPhone and

a BlackBerry for its physical QWERTY keyboard.

But he has seemingly decided that's no way to live his life anymore. Along
with his friend Laurence Hallier, Seacrest has

created the Typo Keyboard Case, an iPhone case with a physical keyboard.

According to All Things D, Seacrest has invested $1 million into the case,
set to debut in January 2014 at the annual
Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The company would not confirm
Seacrest's financial investment when reached by ABC

The $99 Typo Keyboard case will work with an iPhone 5 and 5s. Similar to a
Mophie Case for the iPhone, you slide two
parts of the keyboard-equipped case onto the phone. You then power on the
case and connect it via Bluetooth to the
iPhone. The keyboard looks extremely similar to the keyboard on the
BlackBerry Q10, with frets to separate the keys. The
case does conceal the iPhone's home button but a button to the right of the
keyboard replaces the function.

It is available now for pre-order and will ship in January.

But the Typo Keyboard case isn't the first product to attempt to bring a
QWERTY keyboard to the iPhone. Others from
BoxWave and Dobi have all tried to solve this age-old problem, but the use
of Bluetooth is frustrating and the keyboards

themselves were slow and added a lot of heft to the phone.

Seacrest and Hailler said they felt the same way about those, which is
apparently why they embarked on creating the Typo
case in the first place. "After ordering every iPhone keyboard available, we
realized that there was no solution that

worked well," they state on the Typo Case website.

They vow that this case provides a "butter-smooth" experience and adds only
a fourth of an inch to the thickness of the
iPhone. If that proves to be true, Seacrest and the rest of us die-hard
keyboard fans may have one more thing to

celebrate on New Year's Eve.

I'm not wearing a diaper, so don't try to change me.
