wouldn't you also lose a lot of contact data? The SIM card is limited in the number of contacts it can store and how many fields it stores for each contact. Hello Simon, about two years ago I did the following: 1) select all contacts on Nokia and copy them in the Nokia mass storage 2) connect the Nokia phone to a Windows computer as mass storage 3) locate into the Nokia phone the folder where your contacts have been copied (something like other/contacts 4) select and copy all contacts files .vcf into an empty folder on the computer 5) pack all of them into a single file with extension .vcf by issuing the Dos command: copy *.vcf allcontacts.vcf/B 6) send the allcontacts.vcf file as attachment to the iphone email account 7) download the mails into the iphone 8) locate and open the message with the allcontacts.vcf file attached to 9) open the .vcf file from inside the message and the iphone will ask if you want to add the contacts contained in it to yours. Some other friends of mine successfully experienced this method too. I hope it will help. I was under the impression that the Nokia N96 took a standard sized SIM card, while the iPhone 4S took a smaller SIM card, so you can't just move a SIM card from the N96 to the 4S. Simon, don't think there is one. I think you have to sync the Nokia with a pc and then sync the pc with the Iphone, that's the way I did mine when I switched from an n86 to an iphone. Hi, Along similar lines, when I bought my iPhone 4 at the ATT store last year, the lady whom I worked with at the store transferred my contacts from my old Nokia 6682 to my iPhone and gave me the impression that store personnel had done that for a number of customers, too. Hi listers, Another way might be to copy your contacts from your Nokia to the SIM card, then import them into the iPhone in Settings on the iPhone. That worked for me. The only problem with this method is that your SIM card may not hold all of your contacts, all of the information in each contact or all of the formatting information contained in your contacts. This is what I did though to get started right away. I'm now looking at getting all of the information in my contacts on my E71X over to my iPhone. Another thing that seems to work is to export all of your contacts on your Nokia phone to VCF files. You can then mail these VCF files to yourself as attachments and then open them up on your iPhone. You'll then have the choice to create new contacts or add the information to existing contacts. This may still be more labor intensive than some other options, but it appears to work and be an option. You most need a safe way to transfer contacts. If you have a computer available your best bet will be to sync your contacts to your computer then import those contacts from the computer onto the iphone. I don't know if iTunes for windows will find and import nokia contacts but if that will work you'll not have a problem.
