This has been a rumour with or from apple regarding upcoming iphones for a
couple of years now.

They started looking at this because Samsung have it on the higher end devices
in their mobile phone range

If they do maybe I would be willing to replace my 7plus with this. As a matter
a fact I know I would be willing. The data connection on this thing is super
wrecked these days.

If you have one of the echo devices, you can just ask her to enable jeopardy.
If you have the Alexa app on your phone, you should be able to just ask to play
it.

I Richard,

When I read your other email on the pricing. I took it to say it would be $99 a
year. Is this the way you read it? If that is the case it would be really
expenseve. I remember paying about $75 for KNFB as I thought I got it for a
good price. That app did not pan out very well. I am like you Richard. It seems
really expensive.

I’ve spent the last hour or so running SuperSense through its various modes,
thanks to Shane’s promo code.

in the document mode, Pros: I like the way it prompts you with specific
messages, like move farther from the document; move an inch to the left, etc.

I like the music while processing, very nice.

The accuracy is very good.

Cons: like most OCR apps, it cannot handle columns. If it did, I would
possibly buy it.

Bar codes, Pros: Very fast.

Cons: it did not recognize a hardback book ISBN while Seeing AI’s product
channel did. Otherwise, I think pretty even.

Currency, Pros: very fast.

Cons: I was scanning a $10 bill and when I moved the camera sideways, a couple
times after saying $10, it said $50.

That would be too confusing to someone who did not know or have another money
identification app to double check with.

Explore Mode, Pros: pretty quick and generally accurate. I could see this
helping someone in a hotel room find things like light switches, thermostats,
etc.

Cons: none at this time.

Smart Scan, Pros: very fast and pretty accurate.

Cons: it does not seem any better than Seeing AI’s Short Text mode.

Quick Read, Pros: seems very fast. Also quite accurate.

No cons at this time.

Overall: I most certainly would never pay $100 for this app.

I’m doubtful I would even spend $50.

If I did not have other apps to get my scanning needs met, I would seriously
consider spending the $50, but I’m not in need of it right now with the other
apps I have.

I wish it would start each mode in the stopped position rather than immediately
begin trying to scan.

I will keep exploring uses for it and write if I have updates worth while to
add.

Phone Numbers And Text Messages

Good morning,
I was wondering about a couple of things: First, is it possible to find out
what phone number a text message was sent from if it isn't sent from a number
in your contacts? I received one the other day and all I can get from it is an
email address.

Second, can one add a phone number from a text message to a contact's info?

I'm running IOS 13.7 in case that changes things.

Thank you very much for all and any help,

RE: Phone Numbers And Text Messages

2020-12-17 Thread Richard Turner
If there is only an email address, that means they are texting from their Email
rather than from their phone number.
Other than writing them and asking for their phone number, you are stuck with
the email address.

You can add people to contacts from text messages, but I find it overly tedious
and have never been able to write out the steps in a helpful format. You have
to get to the info button which seems to take two or three tries for me.

When it is a phone number text, I usually double tap on the number so it begins
to call, then hang up, and add the contact from the recent calls in the phone
app as that is very straight forward.

Thank you Richard! You saved me quite a bit of time trying to figure out how
to get that phone number. And I feel better about the add to contacts since
when I tried I did everything I could think of and i still couldn't find the

When I read your other email on the pricing. I took it to say it would be $99 a
year. Is this the way you read it? If that is the case it would be really
expenseve. I remember paying about $75 for KNFB as I thought I got it for a

I will keep exploring uses for it and write if I have updates worth while to
add.

comparing envision ai ap to seeing ai

2020-12-17 Thread kitty hevener
Would like comments from anyone who has tried both aps. I know that
envision ai is giving people a free 14 day trial followed by a monthly
subscription of around $13.00 for first year and $20.00 month for subsequent
years. That seems kinda expensive to me. Is it significantly better than
seeing ai? How?

Re: comparing envision ai ap to seeing ai

2020-12-17 Thread Richard Turner
I tried Envision AI, and in my opinion, it is not so much better than Seeing
AI. In fact, I'm not convinced it is as good. It is different, and has a
different focus I think; but for all my scanning needs, a combination of Voice
Dream Scanner, and Seeing AI do what I need.
Now, SuperSense is yet another player in this field, and it to me seems better
than Envision AI, and is on sale this month for half price for the lifetime
subscription, which is essentially $50 instead of $100. Or you can do a monthly
or I think yearly subscription. I've not decided to buy it since I'm doing fine
with Voice Dream Reader and Seeing AI; but I'm thinking about it.

airlock with a man from Betelgeuse, and about to die of asphyxiation in deep

young."
"Why, what did she tell you?"

2020-12-17 Thread Shane Lowe
Hi Richard and all,
Thank you for the mention. I would be happy to answer any questions
you may have about the Supersense app.
We have also just received great news, which is that our research and
development department will be continuing our partnership with the
National Science Foundation. This means that the features you have
been requesting for Supersense will be developed much faster. :)

RE: comparing envision ai ap to seeing ai

2020-12-17 Thread kitty hevener
Richard, I am amazed at how much stuff I have been able to skim and read with
Winston’s scanner program. At a minimum, am able to screen mail to find out
what it is and determine if human assistance is needede. Guess the thing that
attracted my attention to envision ai is the wearable glasses and all that you
can do with them. Goint to be checking out a virtual demo tomorrow.

RE: Silencing Watch Clicks

2020-12-17 Thread Don Risavy, Jr.
You need to go into the sounds and haptics options on the watch and turn down
the sound or volume level to completely get rid of any clicking sounds on the
apple watch which works well. So if you want some sounds can adjust the sound
level if want a small or slight sound or clicking sound when navigating the
watch.
