[Vo]:Is a UFO Sucking Energy From the Sun? Or what is this thing ?
So today, i was gathering my fair share of crackpotness materials (i like exotic and spicy stuff) around the web, when i came across the following article : http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474981183580 Here is the video linked to the article : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMfApSCjzZA#! I won't deny at first i had the usual what have we got here kind of reaction, enhanced by the fact that the size of the object as claimed in the video was just too big to fit in any theory. But i also noticed what seemed to be a nice vortex, pretty sure everyone on the list likes vortices, i came up with the idea that maybe i could find out some nice pics i could forward to the list. At first, i quickly realised EIT pics where not updated so often anymore and also that new tools appeared since the last time i checked like : http://jhelioviewer.org/ You can also access it online at : http://helioviewer.org/ Which allowed me to go straight to the point : http://helioviewer.org/?date=2012-03-12T01:24:56.000ZimageScale=0.60511022centerX=-631.3417332638013centerY=934.0279554025342imageLayers=%5BSDO,AIA,AIA,304,1,100%5D Short : http://bit.ly/xq0yrm or http://helioviewer.org/?date=2012-03-12T00:20:51.500ZimageScale=0.60511022centerX=-608.5996495401367centerY=935.7626243974659imageLayers=%5BSDO,AIA,AIA,304,1,100%5D,%5BSDO,AIA,AIA,131,1,23%5D,%5BSDO,AIA,AIA,193,1,23%5D,%5BSDO,AIA,AIA,211,1,28%5D Short: http://bit.ly/xJHOlE As you can see there seems to be some kind of rectangular shaped object in the middle of the screen. I won't speculate on what this is, make your own observations and decide by yourself. Still there are a few things you might want to consider, like for something to be visible at this (whatever it is) distance (if it is located inside the CME) it would have to be crazy scaled (nowhere near what was proposed in the previously linked article but still ...) , then you need to solve the classic problems of gravity, radiations, magnetic fields, hot plasmas dancing around to consider if this is really the place you would pick if you want to go on a spring break. Homemade exclusive zoomed short movies for the vortex : http://dl.free.fr/vmoSiCOjq (753375 bytes) or http://dl.free.fr/a3F0JYgTn (17773142 bytes) I quickly fired Celestia to see if for some reason a known object could be located in the path at this time but i did not saw anything relevant. Cherry pick, check out the lower left corner CME : http://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/assets/img/browse/2012/03/12/20120312_012957_2048_0304.jpg Can nasa invoke the CCD default on this one ? Re: [Vo]:Defkalion Forum Closed
While i agree on the fact that Defkalion somehow did what what they said they would do (allowing independent testing), meanwhile where are the tests protocols (maybe i missed something) ? I believe they're sending mixed signals by closing the forum. I can totally understand the fact they want to work in peace, but public relations is an important part of any business these days (i know they want to license the technology, so maybe they think they don't need it anymore). Shutting down the line won't make the message go away, it will reroute. More moderation would probably do the job while keeping the line open. Now, I am waiting as everyone else to see some testing data released, of course Defkalion can't publish them because everyone would claim they are forged, and the tester has no obligation to do so, so this can take a while. Looking at the dark side (what i'm going to write is pure speculation on my part and should be seen as science-fiction ) : Since Siros and falkonide broke up, falkonide always seemed to try to keep the line open with Siros , while Siros clearly stated he was over with it. Anyway since the testing phase started, i noticed more messages popping around suggesting that falkonide stole from Siros , whether this is true or not is irrelevant. What is important is that on the internet, stories spreads at the speed of light. Maybe someone has an insight on what is going on at falkonide , i don't, but if i was them, i would know that these rumors are bad for business and even worst if you're are trying to attract potential licensees and investors (Who wants to be sued ?). The best way to avoid discussing those subjects was to close the forum. This question would have popped up like a grasshopper without bringing more information. Not much of a choice or a distraction, just business as usual. I should ask seti if they have some infos, they say they've got plenty of data to analyse at http://www.setilive.org/ ;) From: Jouni Valkonen ... To: vortex-l@eskimo.com vortex-l@eskimo.com Sent: Friday, March 2, 2012 9:09 AM Subject: Re: [Vo]:Defkalion Forum Closed I think that Defkalion has now reached the point where chattering in Internet chat room is no longer relevant, because they can let the raw data to speak for them. [Vo]:The power generator that runs by water
Just noticed a Vietnamese scientist recently announced an other device : The additive that makes the water boiled, according to Dr Khe, is a kind of chemical using nano technology. The chemical substance can liberates hydrogen, and then joins the catalytic process to separate electron and proton H+ in hydrogen.. Hmm does it sounds a lot like LENR ?:! No sound was heard at the lab of the center Argh. http://english.vietnamnet.vn/en/science-technology/17840/the-power-generator-that-runs-by-water.html

Some infos about dr KHE : The nanotechnology lab at SHTP Labs had been officially founded in 2004 leaded by Dr. Nguyen Chanh Khe (a PhD in information physics from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1982, who owns 37 US patents and 30 Japanese patents) as Lab Director until now. Re: [Vo]:The power generator that runs by water
http://www.sggp.org.vn/khoahoc_congnghe/2012/1/277882/ Funny google translation : Dr. Nguyen Chanh Khe (right) and colleagues are drunk with power generators to run their water According to Dr. Nguyen Chanh Khe, turbines use water more economically as a catalyst in the machine can be recycled and long life, up to 5 or 6 years; cheaper than solar and had a positive impact on the environment. This generator uses water and fuel additives is less than 2% or indirect hydrogen fuel therefore safe transportation. Operation mechanism of the generator is run by water splitting using nanotechnology additives in water into electrons and protons H + to generate electricity. Dr. Khe, a kwh of electricity produced by this technology are cheaper than the national electricity network. Water turbines generate electricity without the release of environmental contaminants such as Cabonic gases (CO2, CO) by the explosive reaction from the gas engine oil generated, which emit only water or steam water should be considered a clean energy source. In addition, generator operation does not cause noise as combustion engines burning gasoline. The turbines in the water waiting for investors to be able to mass produce sold.
Re: [Vo]:Test day in Greece time
The way i see it (thanks to Jed) the first paper about Ni-H goes back to 1979, and the first Focardi paper about Ni-H was published in 1994. Now, as far as i know, Defkalion has not sold any Hyperion yet. But if the tests are conclusive the most important result will be that all doubts about the technology will be lifted. It does not matter who runs the test at all. Later on, IP issues can be solved in court or by contract, if needed.
Re: [Vo]:South Africa Fuel-Free Generator Report : Theory?
Some new details emerged yesterday from the Smartscarecrow show. Sterling said most of the components are off the shelf except from the control board of course, so he's planning to build some units at home then have the inventor to come to set them up. Unfortunately he also added that Mark Dansie was not able to review the device while he was there (for those who followed the story, the inventor was hospitalised for some undisclosed reason). So don't expect a report from him until the device can be reviewed in the US.
Re: [Vo]:100 years 1912 beep beep beep and aliens
Well if they use some kind of quantum entanglement transmission, how could we eavesdrop on them ? So far our RF cone extends 100 light years behind us ( 0 Quite a catch for a random alien in our galaxy to be at the receiving end, anyway if by chance some random alien picked up our signal which would only last as long as he stays inside the cone, then he has to compute where to reply, he probably would send something like, Sorry we're busy right now, please call back later. So besides SETI attempts, what would be our best chance to detect ET life? At least, i think they should emit low amounts of infrared (You've got to stay warm in winter, right), some kind of heat signature, but to see something you must be inside their cone, what do you think ?
Re: [Vo]:Rossi defines Uselessly Asked Questions- again
RECENTLY LEONARDO CORPORATION BECAME PROPERTY OF A TRUST OF INVESTORS I'm quite surprised by this important news from rossi, he always seemed to say that he would be the sole captain of the e-cat boat and now he has attorneys to answer to ? My point is, has rossi silently sold the ship ? About point 1: At least rossi is right on one thing WE HAVE TO WORK ON MANUFACTURING LINES TO MAKE RELIABLE AND ECONOMIC OUR PRODUCTS. About point 2: For rossi to have competitors it would be nice to have an actual product to sell, he does not talk much anymore about new 1MW power plants customers, is there really no other clients by now which doesn't care about an NDA ? I would be delighted to see rossi's attorney working on a competitor case, has rossi still has no decent patent to my knowledge, well he could certainly claim prior art but that would certainly be a lot more complicated So how are those production lines going ? Maybe rossi could publish a job offer on the vortex, he needs people to run the factory right and who would be more qualified than vortexians !
Re: [Vo]:Sterling Allan / S-African Free Fuel Generator FFG trip
Beside sterling adventures, it seems to me it is unusual to announce such a high (450-900) operating temp, isn't rossi actually trying to achieve a stable reaction at such temps ? About the SA device, it seems to be a follow up from the bob boyce hex controller experiment afaik : http://peswiki.com/index.php/Directory:Bob_Boyce_Hex_Controller So can this be resumed as 3 coils on a torus with an 120° offset, the controller sends out really short pulses, so when the magnetic field collapses, back emf is collected and sent back to the battery. So is the coil acting as an antenna ? I mean these electrons have to come from somewhere this could be enough to slowly charge a battery but i don't really see how you could extract 5kw out of it.
Re: [Vo]:Sterling Allan / S-African Free Fuel Generator FFG trip
From what i've read so far, there is no website, no pictures, no PDF's, no specs whatsoever (except some 5kw claim perhaps), the only thing we've got is sterling unpublished report... Anyone have any links to the South African FFG (Fuel Free Generator) company? Company web site or address? Additional pictures/video of the device? Retracted PDF's? Device size or specs? - Brad
Re: [Vo]:Brief analysis of NET Report #4: Rossi's NASA Test Fails to Launch
Maybe Krivit should send rossi some money, this way he could tell he has been scammed, anyway i feel like rossi does not care much about krivit those days, in the latest videos he seemed pretty busy testing the new tabletop e-cat, i think he is smelling the pressure from DGT and this probably makes him mad, imagine if he feels that he has given out his trade secrets (even though DGT may have worked on it independently). As a side note, DGT may want to rush things up a bit too, Greece seems to be in a difficult position these days
[Vo]:100000 e-cats preordered
http://www.journal-of-nuclear-physics.com/?p=510cpage=46#comment-182601 replying to someone asking how many e-cats where pre ordered already, rossi made the following comment : about 100,000 As the pre order announce occurred about 81 days ago this gives us about 1234 pre orders everyday, well i guess rossi's mailbox must be pretty crowded these days and i think the assistant sorting out all those orders every day really deserves our gratitude for doing such an insane job. So how many of these ordered 10+ units ? everyone ? this still makes at least 123 orders to sort everyday, 100 ? we go down to 12 orders per day, seems more manageable, but anyway something seems a bit off with these numbers.
[Vo]:Self charging ?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoLbphJkxMM Can a rotating device really charge itself? This is a closed system with no auxiliary input of any kind. From what i can see this guy is using a magnetically enhanced electric motor connected to an axial flux generator with some kind of circular magnetic ramp.
Re: [Vo]:World's best H2 catalyst?
More info: http://www.phillipscompany.4t.com/HYDROGEN.html The information below described a new catalyst, CC, that requires zero energy input once the reaction is started and heated to 180F. After that, hydrogen is produced for as long as fuel (water and aluminum) are provided. Zero energy input ? wow, who is going to need lenr once we all have hydrogen on demand ?
Re: [Vo]:Prediction on Antarctica's buried Lake
From what i have read so far they're not expecting much more than pure water, like really pure. They're supposed to be looking for some alien life form but seems to have found none so far. If they are really looking for heavy water, they've got quite a good cover but i don't really see how they could gain from it as Antarctica summer is really short so they only have a few months each year to work there (they've been digging for 30 years )

[Vo]:Enhancing Hydrogen Evolution Activity in Water Splitting by Tailoring Li+-Ni(OH)2-Pt Interfaces
I don't remember seeing this subject discussed here so : A quick preview from the abstract : Improving the sluggish kinetics for the electrochemical reduction of water to molecular hydrogen in alkaline environments is one key to reducing the high overpotentials and associated energy losses in water-alkali and chlor-alkali electrolyzers. We found that a controlled arrangement of nanometer-scale Ni(OH)2 clusters on platinum electrode surfaces manifests a factor of 8 activity increase in catalyzing the hydrogen evolution reaction relative to state-of-the-art metal and metal-oxide catalysts. In a bifunctional effect, the edges of the Ni(OH)2 clusters promoted the dissociation of water and the production of hydrogen intermediates that then adsorbed on the nearby Pt surfaces and recombined into molecular hydrogen. The generation of these hydrogen intermediates could be further enhanced via Li+-induced destabilization of the HO–H bond, resulting in a factor of 10 total increase in activity. one Ni to rule them all ? http://www.sciencemag.org/content/334/6060/1256.abstract

Why Manganese-Gallium Is Not The Next Neodymium-Iron-Boron ... This new Mn-Ga compound is certainly very interesting scientifically; but unless someone finds a primary Ga deposit, and can perfect inexpensive nanoscale material production, it’s not going to “revolutionize the production of magnets found in computers, mobile phones, electric cars and wind-powered generators” anytime soon. http://www.techmetalsresearch.com/2011/12/why-manganese-gallium-is-not-the-next-neodymium-iron-boron/ Still Mn-Ga could have some specific usage based on the fact it would never, or hardly, loose it's magnetic field.

http://secchi.nrl.navy.mil/wiki/pmwiki.php?n=Main.FAQ Q:What is causing the artifact near Mercury in 20111201_232901_tbh1A.png? Why is it rectangular? A: In these HI-1 images, a daily median is used as the best near-real-time method to get CME enhancement. This results in dark spots from planets such as Mercury. When we derive the background, we do an interpolation between two daily median images. Since we make these images the day we receive them, we do not have a daily median for the next day, just the previous day. When the interpolation is done between the previous day and the current day and there is a feature like a planet, this introduces dark (negative) artifacts in the background where the planet was on the previous day, which then show up as bright areas in the enhanced image. Therefore, if (when) we re-generate these images, the bright artifact will go away because we have a daily median from the next day. Following is an illustration of the daily median images. The monthly background has been subtracted to bring out the planet artifact.
[Vo]:PRAXEN - DEFKALION GREEN TECHNOLOGIES GLOBAL PRESS RELEASE
Wednesday 30th November, 2011 Today, and through our company website, Praxen - Defkalion Green Technologies Global has disclosed its current work on Nickel and Hydrogen exothermic reaction using Chemically Assisted Low Energy Nuclear Reactions. The provided Technical Specifications Sheet is a first preparation of our pre-industrial Hyperion product. This data has been tested with progress made towards the design of a final product ready for market entry in 2012. Hyperion products will be introduced into the global market with applications for buildings, agriculture and industrial energy needs. Beyond the completion of the final product with all necessary certificates, our company has three key objectives for 2012: 1. Agreements with companies for exclusive licenses according to country / territory We have received interest in our license agreements from 850 companies from 60 countries. They have already received an invitation for testing our products on the basis of a license for their country. We expect to sign contracts in 2012 and have already started talks. 2. Third party independent tests for scientific purposes and advancement of theory Praxen - Defkalion GreenTechnologies is a strong supporter of LENR technologies globally. Greece can become the global centre for RD on LENR technologies. We have already received numerous requests from leading scientific authorities, academic institutions and national laboratories from key countries to conduct tests on our products. Our policy is to accept their requests, under agreed protocol, and to allow publication of their findings. The process of agreeing to dates for such tests depends on the availability of our staff and labs, keeping in mind that we run a business, not a technology show room. 3. RD-based joint venture partnerships with companies in niche market applications There are many applications that stand alone Hyperion products cannot service. In these cases, we will enter into joint venture agreements with companies that have specialized know-how and technologies in their field, but who will be able to utilize and capitalize on our technology to create entirely new products with ours. Examples of such partnerships have come from interested companies in the fields of marine propulsion, water desalination, off-shore drilling, trains, telecom towers, heavy vehicles, and micro energy sources. These agreements will be consistent with Praxen - Defkalion GreenTechnologies Global product development and RD efforts.
