Those of you familiar with my distaste for HTML email will find it no
surprise that I would say and suggest the following:

All very valid points, but the funny thing is that the photo in the
header has absolutely nothing to do with HTML email whatsoever. It is
a function of MacOS X and Mail.app

As a previous post pointed out, if you have a photo assigned to
someone in your Address Book, any email received from that person will
show up that photo. Additionally, if the sender has a .mac account and
as uploaded a photo to Apples servers, that photo will will show up.

Re: Any recommendations on USB KVM?

2003-08-29 Thread Jon Hunter
I am using a MasterView kvm switch that shares usb/monitor with 4
devices, 2 XServes, 1 G4 and 1 G3/350 Server.
The G3 has a KeySpan usb card and occasionally will lose control
(generally if the kvm is powered or if the G3 is restarted without the
correct switch selected). The others work well but do take about 5
seconds to respond.

Purchased from Desktop Applications about 18 months ago.

The Compaq has an analogue SVGA LCD screen and USB keyboard and mouse.

From memory there's some complications switching USB devices - some of

Re: Footy Tipping

2003-03-28 Thread Jon Hunter

We use a Filemaker based footy tipping from an australian developer.
Cost us $30.00 / year, this year he is donating this to a charity.
I have included his invite email message below.

Hi

Just a friendly reminder that the footy season is about to start again.
If you are interested in purchasing a footy tipper again this year, you
will need to act fast in order to get it before next Friday.

Prices remain unchanged this year.

It can be purchased for $25 (single administrator Deluxe version) or
$30
for the network version. A free lite edition for up to 5 tipsters is
also

available.

If you would like an unlimited tipsters copy, please send me a cheque
for
either $25 (deluxe) or $30 (network). The file along with a password
will
be sent by email. The file will be sent in FM version 5 format unless
you

specifically indicate a preference for the V3-4 format. Please specify
which version you want and what platform you are working on (Mac or PC)
when sending your cheque.

Proceeds will be donated to charity this year.

All cheques should be sent to

Larry Kornhauser
PO Box 3126,
Prahran East, VIC 3181

Free Lite versions are available from my macfooty site at

http://www.netspace.net.au/~lkorn/MacFooty.Web/index.html

The AFL tipper is a Filemaker based solution and requires Filemaker 3
or

higher to operate.

Larry

FileMaker) for the Mac community but I am having a great deal of

If anyone out there is willing to help out I would really appreciate

MySQL and PHP as long as it doesn't require any special host

Re: from cassette to CD

Connect a cable from sound out/headphones socket on cassette deck or
amp to sound in/mic on Cube.
You need software like SoundStudio from www.felttip.com to capture the
analogue signal which then allows you to save it as quicktime or mp3.
You can then import into iTunes and add additional info like Genre,
artist, album prior to burning.

I paid US$49.99 for SoundStudio
