Hi All,

Thought I would add that I upgraded from CCC3 to 6, with a discount, for my 
Catalina run Mac.  I asked them if I could get a discount
for CCC5 for my other computer and they said my CCC6 licence would also work on 
my other Mac.  They took only a 
short while to reply to me too.  I’m very content !

Thanks for the heads up Daniel. Seems like a great upgrade. I have only ever 
had to save from a catastrophic failure of a hard drive with no warning once in 
my life but CCC had me with a bootable backup to keep going and then an easy 
restore when the hard drive was replaced  and I have never had the “lost 
all of my precious photos” regrets. 

I like time machine but in its now superseded form a lot quicker. 

Perhaps a comparison of the benefits of using one or the other or both backups 
could be a nice WAMUG presentation.

Thanks Daniel.
I am quite happy with the current version though.

I bought my first CCC late last year when SuperDuper failed to keep up with Big 
Sur.
My monthly backups then jumped from about 20 minutes to 6 minutes.
This is the one I keep locked in my safe.
Time Machine looks after my everyday stuff.

Looks to me like upgrading to CCC 6 might only interest those using it on an 
everyday basis.
