Re: WBMUTBB Digest, Vol 11, Issue 366

2010-12-23 Thread Bcunnin107

I finally have DSL instead of dial-up
o I can see all the cards now.

I can just imagine today's version of Man in a Hurry, where Malcolm Tukcer
needs to get to his email, and he can't get online because the dial up
connection is overloaded and slow.

You people are living in another world. Don't you realize there are DSL
connections now? Satellite dishes and direct TV? Men are skyping events they
can't attend, and here, the whole world stands still because of somebody's dial
up connection

I must confess to only getting rid of my dial up connection this year too.

Merry Christmas to all!!

trained noticer

2010-12-23 Thread Trickytimer
I guess I can be classified as a trained noticer, but here's something I
wondered about, so I looked for it today while watching my 50th anniversary
dvd's I just got. I was watching The Pickle Story, and I noticed the
pickles Aunt Bee made were in Mason jars, as you would expect, and the
pickles Barney bought from the store were in store pickle jars when they were
switching the pickles. When Barney takes them out to give them away to
unsuspecting folks, the pickles he gives the guy were in Mason jars, not the
store pickle jars they put Aunt Bee's pickles in.

Just an observation

My question is..Is it the same house? I know we've talked about the
Rimshaw house being the same as Mrs. Wiley's and Mayor Stone's I think..and
its
on Gone with the wind..but did Ron Howard visit it again on Happy Days??
I'll take a look myself more closely, but just wondered if any trained
noticers already checked it out??

Probably not, since the exterior of the Rimshaw place was on its way out
by the time the Happy Days episode was filmed, and that was more than ten
years later in front of a live audience in a different studio lot
(Paramount).

It probably *was*, however, the same idea, as writers from TAGS and HD
rubbed elbows in the Danny Thomas universe.

'Tis the Season

2010-12-23 Thread Vicki Pillow
Once again Allan has come up with a wonderful Christmas card. This year's
model brought lots of smiles as I watched. Keep up the good work, Allan! I
look forward to your Christmas card every year.

As we are once again fortunate to celebrate a wonderful Christmas season,
I'd like to wish this heartfelt greeting to all my cyber neighbors in our
little corner of the world

M(ayb)erry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Schwamp in CIC

2010-12-23 Thread Janet Anderson
As we are in the holiday season, remember if you watch the orginal Christmas
in Connecticut..watch for Mr. Schwamp.

Joe, I did -- and I did! When it got to that scene, I watched very carefully
so as not to miss Mr. Schwamp in his prime. His appearance is quite fleeting.
