[libreoffice-website] Wrong Release Notes page on website

2016-08-07 Thread Korrawit Pruegsanusak
Hello,

The release notes page on the official website,
http://www.libreoffice.org/download/release-notes/ is still showing
LO5.1.4. It should be 5.2.0 as it's released. :)

Thank you very much.

[libreoffice-website] AskLibO: is the alt text of 'gray tick' misleading?

2012-03-04 Thread Korrawit Pruegsanusak
Hello all,

From
http://ask.libreoffice.org/question/117/android-app-for-viewing-odt-ods-files,
we have two types of 'tick' in front of (left of) the comments:
  * green tick
  * gray tick

IIUC, the green tick is the comment that the original poster mark it
as such, and the gray isn't, right?

But if I put my mouse pointer to the tick, it says:
$original_poster has selected this answer as correct
for both types of the tick. Confirmed by searching in the html source.

Is this intended?

[libreoffice-website] wiki login from https slipped when open http page (again?)

2012-02-21 Thread Korrawit Pruegsanusak
Hello all,

I've just noticed that I have this problem again, could someone please
confirm / have a look?

Problem: logging in to tdf wiki use 'https', but 'http' page slipped a session
1. open wiki http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/, note 'http'
2. click 'login' at upper right corner
3. the login page appears in 'https', fill in your credentials and proceed
4. wiki now in 'https' mode
5. open http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ again, note 'http'

Expected: I'm logged in (see upper right corner)
Actual: I'm not logged in

We already have the bug report ~3 months ago at
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43133
And it's me who mark the bug as fixed, but it seems that it appears again.

Thanks! :)

If you mean http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/website/msg06344.html,

But I'm not sure whether they are left somewhere ...

That is really a perfect summary! Maybe we should put it to some wiki page

Done! http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Help:Editing#Linking_to_Image_or_File
But I'm not sure whether it is too lengthy or not ...
I also add this link to wiki's first page. Hope it'll draw more attention.

found it too lengthy, please feel free to edit it :)

[libreoffice-website] Please use Media: to directly link a file in wiki (was: Broken links on the get-help/documentation pages)

2011-11-10 Thread Korrawit Pruegsanusak
Hello Florian, all,

On Sat, Nov 5, 2011 at 23:46, Korrawit Pruegsanusak
detective.conan.1...@gmail.com wrote:
We need to search our websites for direct links, however.

Yes, and I already try using Pywikipediabot [1] and it found ~70 pages
that need to be edited. Also, this edit [2] is made by the bot, but
use my username as a test. So, could you please mark User:KorrawitBot
as a bot and I'll make the changes after that?

It isn't necessary now. I've almost finished cleaning them up in TDF
wiki :-) [1]
What I've done is replacing lots of hard-coded direct links to file
(cgi_img_auth.php thinkies, currently unusable) with Media:
wiki-links instead, thanks pywikipediabot!
See the changes at [2] and some of the recent changes in [3] by clicking diff.
Also, I'm sorry for the first flood of edits with changing to File:,
which links to the landing page, not the file directly. So, I've to
change it to Media: to link directly, which causes the second flood
in Special:RecentChanges.

Anyway, for the bright future, let's use MediaWiki's ways to link a file:
1. If the link to a file comes from the wiki itself
  a. If you want a direct link to file: use
[[Media:file_name_here.pdf]] or
[[Media:file_name_here.pdf|text_to_show]] for piping link. MediaWiki
will automatically generate direct links for you. Please, DO NOT
hard-coded the URL which copy n' pasted from browser like this:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/images/6/6b/0102GS3-SettingUpLibO.odt;.
It might cause some problems when upgrading MediaWiki, like this time
:P
  b. If you want to go to landing page (file information there): use
[[:File:file_name_here.pdf]]. Note there are two colons here. Pipe
link also available.
  c. If you want to show the image directly in a page: use
[[File:file_name_here.png]] (one colon) or some other options from [4]
2. If the link to a file comes from outside the wiki
I don't know how this could be safely done without hard-coding. So,
I would suggest using File:file_name method. For example,
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/File:0102GS3-SettingUpLibO.odt
This will take you to the landing page, but it's safe when upgrading.
Although users might get confused.
So, using copy n' paste direct link might be better in some cases,
such as documentation page [5] ;) This method needs some love when
upgrading MediaWiki.

I'm not sure if this list is suitable for annoucing something like
this, but anyway ... :D
Any suggestions or comments are appreciated.

[1] Three more lower-priority tasks here, if I have more time or more
helping hands :-)
 I. Two pages which I'm not sure whether I would change them or not:
   a. http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Gallery_Buttons/Conference
   b.
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Gallery_Buttons/Marketing/ConfCalls/17-Nov-2010-irclog
II. Hard-coded direct links to files after the upgrade, which is
currently usable, such as
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/images/6/6b/0102GS3-SettingUpLibO.odt
III. Hard-coded direct links to files in OpenOffice.org wiki

 For more information, I've checked
 http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/build/plain/NEWS?id=libreoffice-3-3-1
for list of commits in libreoffice-3.3.1.2 (3.3.1rc2) and
libreoffice-3.3.1.1 (3.3.1rc1), which are in 2 topmost. And they
 contains only bug fixes.
So, IMHO we should change 3.3.1 to 3.3 in [1].

[libreoffice-website] Version number in new features and fixes page

2011-07-22 Thread Korrawit Pruegsanusak
Hello all,
I've come across one old bug report four months ago: fdo#35600
(https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35600)
Reporter think we should have this page[1] to have 3.3.2 version
number instead of currently 3.3.1
but since we don't ship new feature in minor release (see [2]), we
should say only 3.3, or I mis-recall something?

What do you think?

[libreoffice-website] Proposal: Changing Easy Hacks page to transclusion

2011-06-08 Thread Korrawit Pruegsanusak
Hello all,

After the Easy Hacks bugzilla migration[1], there are 2 Easy Hacks
page in wiki currently:
1. http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/Easy_Hacks
2. http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/Easy_Hacks_Complete_List
which some of the former are parts of copypaste the latter.

So my proposal is: to change the former into transclusion[2] of the
latter, for the ease of editing, by use of some transclusion tag. eg.
onlyinclude And I can help doing my proposal if you agree.
Please feel free to comment :)
