It looks like it was *intended* to fix Android tablets to not redirect to the mobile site, but apparently did so by removing any checks for Android, and replacing the Android, iPhone, and iPod checks with a Mobile Safari check which of course slapped the iPad across the head, exactly what shouldn't be done for a tablet. They do, however, include, a mixture of numbers, words and punctuation, which gets mixed up if forced to be right-to-left. For example, the current MySQL version looks like facebook-r3489-log-5.1.46 instead of 5.1.46-facebook-r3489-log. It's quite hard to use the mouse to select this version number, too. Steps to reproduce: 1. Select a word and click the link icon. 2. Press down key to select a target page from the suggestions. (It is important to use the keyboard only.) 3. Press enter. The link is inserted correctly. 4. Select another word and click the link icon. The selected word is displayed both as target and as text. 5. Press enter. Expected result: The selected word should just be wrapped in brackets. This patch fixes the 'now' not honouring the wiki set timezone by ensuring that all uses of the date() function wrapped between calls to date_default_timezone_set( $wgLocaltimezone ) and a reset to whatever the local TZ was set to. (Using date_default_timezone_set seems to be more reliable than putenv; it's what mediawiki itself does for timestamping.) Works well for me with a couple of cavaets: 1) Due to the subclassing used, it's possible for the time part being one second to midnight and the date part being the day at midnight if the call to time() in the DateTime's 'now' section happens just before the second tick, and the call to the parent class happens just after. A rare problem, but it does suggest that processing the date/time into a data structure should happen outside transforming it into form components, which is probably a good idea anyway. 2) The code for processing a datetime with str2time is untouched and needs to set the specified timezone for the time translations not to munge the output, I think. Hard to test, as SMW Date types don't like the timezones I've set. The traditional method of counting which pages contain content for the purposes
of {{NUMBEROFARTICLES}} does not accurately reflect the value for en.wikibooks,
where many books' pages do not have wikilinks to other pages. Additionally,
links for navigation to other pages contained within templates do not count
when determining whether a page has internal links. Therefore the community
would like to instead use the method of using pages with commas in determining
content pages.
Please set $wgUseCommaCount to true. Changing this will not retroactively
change the current count, so it would be appreciated if maintenance/recount.sql
could be run to reflect the new methodology. Thanks.

This feature is not at all well thought-out; it can be used to construct an auto-vandalism URL to post anywhere you like on the Web, resulting in distributed mass-vandalism. Likewise a smart vandal can copy-and paste a handcrafted URL many times to vandalize many pages quickly. There are other bad things you can automate with this as well. I'm not going to post an example URL here, but any developer should feel free to mail me if you want one.
