Inactive users should be filtered out with user_touched, I know it gets updated in other circumstances but it's better than nothing. The first preference is showjumplinks. I'd like to see how many users are actually disabling this user preference. And the other is skin. I'm fairly sure it's still an issue, yes. If it is, the steps below should
reproduce it:
* Log out and remove all of your wikipedia.org cookies
* Edit a page with parentheses in the title
* After saving your edit, visit the same page at a different URL (e.g. encode
the '(' as '%28' , or decode it if is was encoded)
* You should see an older version of the page that does not contain your edit
If you tried this while logged in, you would bypass the Squid cache and you
wouldn't see the problem.

localized
sorting methods (so the sweedish wikipedia would use a different sort order
then say english because sorting conventions differ between languages)
I still don't really understand this. Sorting methods of what? Of pages at
Special:AllPages? Of items in a table using JavaScript sorting code? Of
category members on category description pages? Is this about adding a
{{#sort:}} wikitext function? All of the above? None of the above?
Both all and none of the above, or neither :p
In all seriousness though – afaik this ticket requests the implementation of a
central sorting mechanism that is bound to a Language. This can then be
utilized in various places and exported to different formats where needed (eg.
something in SQL/PHP to sort AllPages and Category members, as well as JSON
export for jquery.tablesorter perhaps, anything is possible but the
applications are not in the scope of this bug)

When we do it, we'll keep this sorting collation central (ie. not hacked up in javascript separately), that way we can use the sorting for other applications as well. If you hide the username, all logs would also hidden. When you hide the log entry for a user right change, the user rights are still visible by the user. When you hide the log entry for a move, the move is still visible in the history with the null revision. Technical it is hard to do this. A ipb_deleted = 1 indicates a hide username. You have to use another number and test many places.
