  Honestly, if you are seeing few errors, it may also be that heavy users (like 
myself) are putting off our projects until the tool is more usable. If another 
data point is useful, I was using WCQS again today, and only submitted a couple 
of simple queries before I got another internal server error tonight.

  I haven't found a solution. I have tried rebuilding things from scratch 
multiple times encountering different, seemingly unrelated, errors each time. I 
think it's still useful for this to be considered, however, so a solution 
should still be sought after. For the time being, I am focused on one of those 
different errors which I've documented here

  Summary is that the tuning is either the same or slightly worse almost 
everywhere.  Unclear currently where things went wrong. It's not significantly 
worse so the process is still coming up with reasonable values, but those 
reasonable values aren't resulting in better ranking than the tuning from a few 
years ago.

TASK DESCRIPTION
  The WikibaseLexeme extension has two settings, `$wgLexemeNamespace` and 
`$wgLexemeTalkNamespace`, which together define the namespace used to store 
Lexemes. However, MediaWiki assumes that the talk namespace is always the 
subject namespace + 1; for example:
  
  name=NamespaceInfo::getTalk()
return $this->isTalk( $index )
? $index
: $index + 1;
  
  I don’t know what happens when you set `$wgLexemeTalkNamespace` to something 
other than `$wgLexemeNamespace + 1`, but I assume no good will come out of it. 
To me this seems like a footgun that exists for no good reason, and I propose 
we remove it and hard-code the talk namespace to be `$wgLexemeNamespace + 1`.
  
  Historically, this code was apparently based on WikibaseMediaInfo, which at 
the time also had `MediaInfoNamespace` and `MediaInfoTalkNamespace` settings, 
originally introduced in Automatically register namespaces for MediaInfo 
.
 `MediaInfoTalkNamespace` was removed in Use extension registration for 
namespaces 
,
 but reintroduced as `MediaInfoNamespaceTalk` in Register MediaInfo talk 
namespace 

 (though it’s not clear to me whether the `MediaInfoNamespaceTalk` //config// 
had any effect here, since I don’t see any code connecting it to the registered 
`NS_MEDIAINFO_TALK` namespace), before both `MediaInfoNamespace` and 
`MediaInfoNamespaceTalk` were finally removed in Make MediaInfo work with MCR 
.

  I agree with ChristianKl rather than Taylor here.
  
  Allowing / disallowing sitelinks to redirects is a Wikidata problem, not a
  Wikipedia problem. Therefore, I think it is preferable to store the
  necessary information in Wikidata rather than in Wikipedia.
  
  I curate redirects on two Wikipedias (en, yue) and also edit Wikidata
  regularly, and I really dislike the current workflow which requires me to
  edit a Wikipedia redirect page just so that I can add a Wikidata sitelink
  to it. I would much prefer the permanent solution to store the "intentional
  redirect" flag on Wikidata rather than Wikipedia.

  If you say "we should tag" then who do you think should do the tagging? If 
you expect Wikipedia editors to do that, how do you think they learn that they 
are not supposed to put __VALIDREDIRECT__ on redirects that are not eligible 
for an independent Wikidata item? If I would be a Wikipedia editor and see 
__VALIDREDIRECT__ on one redirect page, my natural impression would be that 
__VALIDREDIRECT__ is supposed to be put on all redirect pages that conform with 
the redirect policy of the Wikipedia.
  
  It's even policy that someone makes an RFC that calls for that on enWiki 
which would invite us into another conflict between Wikidata and Wikipedia 
where I don't want to explain to the enWiki audience that they are supposed to 
respect Wikidata policy in regards to texts they put on enWiki pages. As a 
guiding principle for Wikidata development "Don't do anything that has a 
potential for starting conflicts with other Wikimedia projects" is useful.
  
  If there's a desire on the Wikipedia side to later make it visible that this 
is a local redirects eligible for an independent Wikidata item, that's an 
policy decision that can be made via RFC on those projects and a bot could 
create them based on the badges.
  
  In the future badges might also be automatically created in specific cases to 
improve user experience, but for today simply the solution as detailed in the 
starting post and approved by @Manuel is the right way to go.

TASK DESCRIPTION
  http://wikiba.se/ontology-1.0.owl file should be available (and serving 
content) so that the RDF output of Wikibase instance (Wikidata included) can be 
properly resolved/validated.
  
  Given wikiba.se page/domain is operated by a third-party provider, and the 
owl file is not really part of wikiba.se website, but rather an additional file 
served from that domain, WMDE would like to ensure that file is reachable, also 
when the site operators are doing changes in the CMS etc.
