Mike and Joe, I see CQ 000 for some of the same stations that Mike reported: IW1ARK, VA3MJR, GW3UOF for example. ALL.TXT goes back to Oct 14. First occurrence of CQ 000 on Feb 4. All CQ 000 are for JT65 decodes - none seen for JT9 but there are many fewer JT9 decodes compared to JT65. [wsjt-devel] Subroutine packmsg()
Hi Beat, Recently users of WSJT-X have started seeing decoded messages of the form CQ 000 K1ABC FN42. As far as I can tell, these messages arise because of a change you made in line 47 of a file packmsg.f if(msg(1:3).eq.'DX ') msg='CQ 000 '//msg(4:) I did not look further in your source code, but presumably you made a corresponding change in the unpack routine to display the message as, for example, DX K1ABC FN42. Your change is not consistent with the JT65 protocol as defined several years ago after discussion with Joe Large, W6CQZ -- and as implemented in WSJT and WSJT-X. Obviously it will cause problems if one program intending to be JT65 compatible uses different source encoding than another program. The JT65 protocol is effectively defined and demonstrated by the program JT65code, available as part of the standard WSJT-X installation. As shown in the terminal output below, messages of the form CQ DX K1ABC FN42 are fully supported. # jt65code CQ DX K1ABC FN42 Message Decoded Err? - CQ DX K1ABC FN42CQ DX K1ABC FN421: Std Msg Packed message, 6-bit symbols 21 34 19 3 39 55 3 2 14 5 33 40 Information-carrying channel symbols 5 57 50 57 46 8 24 12 46 42 5 20 60 2 46 26 47 40 12 17 18 60 5 38 50 11 50 40 26 29 60 34 25 44 47 59 6 26 41 39 15 54 19 43 61 22 55 17 30 44 54 21 34 19 3 39 55 3 2 14 5 33 40 # I hope you will see fit to make JT65-HF-HB9HQX-Edition conform with standard JT65 usage and avoid this incompatibility between popular programs that are intended to work together. -- 73, Joe, K1JT -- Dive into the World of Parallel Programming The Go Parallel Website, sponsored by Intel and developed in partnership with Slashdot Media, is your hub for all things parallel software development, from weekly thought leadership blogs to news, videos, case studies, tutorials and more. [wsjt-devel] Introduction and question
Good evening all I doubt if I will be of any use in the development but I have a very specific question that I felt was better asked here than on a more general forum. the question is wrt MAP65 I am using a Angelia board from Anan as the back end for transverters and have 2 x G4DDK Anglian transverters fed from a single 116MHz source and all the radios locked to the same 10MHz source. I can now produce 2 x IQ streams at 96000 via VAC from the two RX how can / do I feed this to MAP65, I can send either successfully and decode fine and I can TX from MAP65 fine but I cannot see how to have both RX Inputs, perhaps this is not at this stage possible without routing through Linrad or SDR-Radio but I thought it should be possible to feed the 2 streams direct to MAP65. I have been previously using a flex 1500 as the driver and feeding WSJT with a Funcube dongle feeding MAP65 as a spotting rx but now want to go full Dual polarity, and the Angelia with PowerSDRmRX PS works brilliantly and I hope to incorporate the Pure Signal pre-distortion scheme into the station after I get the rest sorted. Re: [wsjt-devel] Introduction and question
Hi Jim, Sorry to say, I don't have a good solution to suggest. Unless VAC can be configured to handle four audio channels as a single 4-channel device like the Delta44 sound card, I don't think it's going to work. In principle MAP65 could be modified to allow opening a pait of 2-channel audio devices, which I think is what you are providing now through VAC. However, in such a situation I see no way to ensure that the sample times in the two channels are exactly the same. Any such time offset would prevent MAP65 from operating correctly. -- 73, Joe, K1JT On 3/12/2015 4:41 PM, Jim Barr wrote: Good evening all I doubt if I will be of any use in the development but I have a very specific question that I felt was better asked here than on a more general forum. the question is wrt MAP65 I am using a Angelia board from Anan as the back end for transverters and have 2 x G4DDK Anglian transverters fed from a single 116MHz source and all the radios locked to the same 10MHz source.
