Adobe Illustrator files no longer readable image types

2008-03-04 Thread Jacob Lyles
I'm hesitating to update to the latest Yojimbo release:

I use Illustrator CS2. With Illustrator CS2, the default doc (.ai) is PDF
compatible. I can open it in Preview with no problems. This clashes with the
idea that Adobe Illustrator files are no longer readable image types.

Maybe this is a good candidate for a hidden preference (i.e. Editing the
.plist or via Terminal) that would allow designating AI files as readable.

Or maybe not...

In order to prevent (and recover) from this sort of problem, in my scripts,
when I create the Web Archive (WA) item, I create it with the URL already in
the comments field. Thus, I don't end up with empty WA items that (aside
from being empty ) don't have an associated URL.

So, searching for an empty comment field is a bit useless for me (but
thanks!)

Merging Yojimbo DBs

2007-12-17 Thread Jacob Lyles

RE: ~/Library/Application Support/Yojimbo/Database.sqlite file

Anyone have a way to merge several of these into one (working) Yojimbo DB?

I have several backed up versions which have different contents and I'd like
to unify them.

Thanks,

Jacob

Recent Illustrator Documents are either pure PDF or PDF/AI combinations.
Maybe Yojimbo 1.5 glommed onto PDF/AI file types on your machine.

This is a common issue (i.e. Shortcuts don't work) on Mac laptops since the
F-keys are also used for other features (controlling volume, screen
brightness,etc...).

Try [fn][F8]

Image/CSS problems with Webarchives

2007-08-05 Thread Jacob Lyles
I created a Web Archive of the following URL via Applescript:

Viewing within Yojimbo doesn't present problems but if I choose "View in
Safari", then the images disappear. The same problem occurs if I drag the
Web Archive out of Yojimbo to the finder and open it.

What's happening?

Jacob

P.S.

On a separate note, I've also seen cases of CSS files not being included in
the web archives (which results in crappy presentation and is useless for my
purposes). I'll see if I can find an example to try to narrow down the
problem.

Group in Spotlight?

2007-05-15 Thread Jacob Lyles
Is there a way to show Yojimbo items as a separate group in Spotlight?

I.e. Spotlight separates PDFs, images, e-mails, etc. Can Yojimbo items be
broken out into their own list?

Thanks,

Jacob
