Re: [Zappa-List] Vine Closed / Coming soon to a vine near you - 5 disc Video Vine
Yes he obviously doesn't understand that EZT has higher criteria than most bittorrent tracker sites. Their rule is never officially released. Out of production doesn't mater. I've even known them to ban a recording that had entered the public domain due to age just because some enterprising company took advantage of the public domainstatus to make an official looking release.Similar to what I've seen lately with old superman cartoons. Certainly once a thing enters public domain it stays there and a retail release that's free of copyright payment shouldn't change that. The truth is I half expected this to be banned from EZT. They don't penalize a user for having a torrent banned though so I decided to give it a try. There is a VCD version on there that started all this. Not as nice as the one I made for this vine but they've been allowing it. Sometimes I wonder if EZT isn't run by FZ fans. They seem to stretch the rules for his works. They have allowed The Dub Room for a long time for instance. Maybe the mail order sales from Barfko Swill in the eighties just don't count as official releases? I heard this mentioned, and I shouldn't've been so naive not to consider this more seriously, but look at this SHIT! [ http://www.google.com/search?q=%2B%22christoffer+heggem%22sourceid=operanum=0ie=utf-8oe=utf-8 ] (yeah, the mail-list-caches..) How nice of most of them to at least exclude the personal e-mail addresses.. I'm not as mad as this mail looks, but I just wish to know, if any of those mail-list cache/robots are affiliated with yahoo-groups? ... I wouldn't guess so myself, to be realistic and everything.. Man, I hate all those small-time entrepreneur's that wish they were google, and sets some lame script to index everything indexable... I'll rather start posting in here as Siegfried or something from now on... *F!* I've got myself to blame, but still.. Yahoo! Groups Sponsor ~-- In low income neighborhoods, 84% do not own computers. These pictures could almost be from the show I sawLAin '77. It's the hair tied back I guess. I remember when at one point he took his hair out and shook it. Then he proceeded to play a blazing guitar solo that was probably the best I ever witnessed. Then he put his hair back into a pony tail and the concert continued. http://home.earthlink.net/~ericnp/zappa_concert.html Jim L - Original Message - From: Christoffer Heggem To: Zappa-List@yahoogroups.com Sent: Tuesday, January 11, 2005 1:48 PM Subject: [Zappa-List] ZIRP [ http://home.earthlink.net/~ericnp/zirp_menu.html ] No, this is not my site.. It's a piece of cake to do this.. You sign up at [EMAIL PROTECTED] like we did to receive it, and set it to send separate messages. Instead of being manually read, they let scripts put whatever is sent from here, (which lands in a *.mbox somewhere,) into their database(s), and it ends up on their database-driven site(s).. There's not even a point in blocking certain domains from receiving, because they could always set up forwarding aliases that leads to their server.. So, as long as we can receive messages, the cachers will also always have that opportunity.. Hehe, I don't know who goes there, but in some search-engines, the more people you link to, the higher up you come in the results, but perhaps it was the other way around; that the more people link to you, and so on.. No, seriously, I don't know.. And I don't _really_ care about my real name showing up a few places, it's just that knowing now that it happens that automatically, I'd rather avoid it, as I have a measurable amount of sends to forums like this one per day.. --- It's a little bit cheesy but it's nicely displayed???
