 Ciao!

As I said on both my machine runs Debian Sid, not Mac Os X.
I am looking for a solution for compiling linux drivers supporting monitor
 mode on PPC hardware.
 Someone can help?

 Thanks for you reply,
 Rello

 Dear rello:
The ZD1211 driver package for Macintosh computer running on Mac OS 10.3
or later is ready now, you can download it from download page in URL of
www.zydas.com.tw, it includes a Kernel extension driver and an user mode
 utility
 Thanks a lot.

 Ciao

I have a usb dongle with a ZD1211 chip inside.

I compiled your r80 drivers on my desktop P4 x86 machine and everything
works well (monitor mode with kismet sometimes hungs up as you say).

Then I tried to compile it on my iBook G4 PPC but I got lots of warnings
and errors, and make refuses to finish it's work..

On both my machines the system is a Debian Unstable with 2.6.17-rc4 kernel.

Someone was successful compiling the drivers on a PPC machine?

Yep· I'm using it everyday. My current configuration is Debian, hand
 made 2.6.16.16 kernel + zd1211 revision 78. WEP/WPA is working. It's on
an iBook G4 12. gcc 4.0.4 from Debian was used to compile.

 Best regards,
 Benoit

Ciao
zd1211 rev 77 compiles (with lots of warnings) on gcc 4.1 and G4 PPC
hardware, kernel 2.6.17-rc6 wireless tree.
Both managed and monitor mode seems to works well.
Kismet server (during monitor mode) often crashes with a segmentation
fault due to this two errors:

Didn't detect any Cisco Discovery Packets, unlinking cisco dump
Didn't see any weak encryption packets, unlinking weak file
Segmentation fault

zd1211 rev 80 does NOT compile.

zd1211rw compiles as well, but link never becomes ready and I'm unable
to send data/pings.

Thanks a lot for your trick jxiao!!
I hope my report can be useful.

Works on ppc (without encryption), but seems to have problems further on -
connection after some time becomes unusable. Seems because I am not sure
that the problem doesn't lie at the AP side - I have no info and no
(admin) access to it. The old driver in my PC seems more stable, but
this can be anything...

Thanks
