This is a bug. What version of Zope 3 are you using? It would be good if we could track down when the bug was introduced. I don't think it's a bug. tal:content/tal:replace expressions should produce a message id to be translated, there is no implicit creation of a message id from a string. -- Dmitry Vasiliev (dima at hlabs.spb.ru) http://hlabs.spb.ru ___ Zope3-dev mailing list Zope3-dev@zope.org Unsub: http://mail.zope.org/mailman/options/zope3-dev/archive%40mail-archive.com

Re: [Zope3-dev] Re: [Zope] Zope 3.1.0 released!
http://zope.org/Products/Zope3/ [Reinoud van Leeuwen] Is it intended that one should login before being able to access that page? Not intended, and logging in may not help either. Try it with and without the trailing slash: http://zope.org/Products/Zope3/ or http://zope.org/Products/Zope3 At the moment, the latter works for me but the former doesn't. During the time I was uploading the Windows installers for 3.1.0 (within the last hour), it's possible that login was _required_ before the UI let me publish them. Sometimes Software Release pages get into that state, refusing to let anonymous visitors view them so long as any private items remain. That's not a possible factor anymore (all items on the page are published now). During the upload process, I had the same ongoing problems with getting back login is required pages at seemingly random times despite that I was logged in the whole time. Chopping or adding a trailing slash often worms around that, and whether or not you're logged in. ___ Zope3-dev mailing list Zope3-dev@zope.org Unsub: http://mail.zope.org/mailman/options/zope3-dev/archive%40mail-archive.com

Stephan Richter wrote: Hello everyone, The Zope 3 development team is proud to announce Zope 3.1.0 final. Zope 3 is the next major Zope release and has been written from scratch based on the latest software design patterns and the experiences of Zope 2. It is in our opinion that Zope 3.1 is more than ready for production use, which is why we decided to drop the 'X' for experimental from the name. We will also continue to work on making the transition between Zope 2 and Zope 3 as smooth as possible. As a first step, Zope 2.8 includes Zope 3 features in the form of Five. Now that we have a release that we would like to declare stable next week, we are looking for translators, who translate Zope 3 into their favorite language! We are utilizing the Rosetta system from Ubuntu for managing those translations. If you are not familiar with Rosetta, please send us a mail to zope3-dev@zope.org and we get you set up. [Stephan Richter] http://zope.org/Products/Zope3/ [Jim Fulton] This URL is incorrect. The correct URL is: http://zope.org/Products/Zope3 (no trailing slash) [Stephan] Both should work. Because if you click via the Webpage links, you get the slash. [Jim] Yes, they should work. Unfortunately, they don't. So is there a reason for saying that the version without the trailing slash is correct and that the other is incorrect stronger than that you tried both, and observed that one worked for you while the other didn't? I ask because we've seen this before. Unless something relevant on zope.org has changed, which of the two forms works depends both on who tries it and when they try it. We've also seen cases where neither form works for a given person at a given time. If that's still the case, then it can help for a person to try both, but doesn't help to keep banging on just one because someone else said it worked for them. BTW, the Wiki link to 3.1.0 doesn't resolve at http://www.zope.org/Wikis/DevSite/Projects/ComponentArchitecture/Downloads I mean this part near the top: Latest Releases stable: [Zope-3.1.0]? and ZopeX3-3.0.1 ___ Zope3-dev mailing list Zope3-dev@zope.org Unsub: http://mail.zope.org/mailman/options/zope3-dev/archive%40mail-archive.com
