707 is house drummachine, mr.fingers´Amnesia album was mostly done with this one like most deep house proj from that era, nice machine but digital...check the rim-shot, you´ll recognize it instantly.it´s the follow-up to the 909. 606 i think is the drummatrix and its analog which in my opinion

Mind you, a 707 is MIDI, which makes it a great first piece of equipment for a techno musician to be. 606's have to worry about sync boxes, kenton, and all that expensive add-on stuff. And yes, the 606 is more expensive due to its better sounds, cuteness, and modifiability. The 707 couldn't
