ok well thanks, but the main reason why i was talking about it in the
first place is because people have become to genre-tized if you know
what i mean and will destroy all music in a single genre just because
some of it that they heard sounds bad - really genres do not matter -
just music
if you
ok
well we just have different tastes then
but a lot of other people have been genre-tized
thats why i am talking about it

trance is just one of those words that has lost its meaning :( trance is a
feeling induced by repettitive music, and there is DEFINITELY trance music
that is very 313 related, it's just not o. lieb or anything like that.
for instance i'd call some red planet releases or the first basic channel
last time i checked techno-trance or whatever reynolds-ism they're using for
it today, is definately not detroit techno...

Agreed. Whatever may have transpired more than half a decade ago (and beyond),
what has emerged from the smoke seems (to me anyway) to be readily identifiable
as distinct. As with a good deal of electronic music you'll find a degree of
repetition involved, but some repetition (especially with a
Trance as I know it started in Germany in the early '90s with Superstition,

crap thats around now. Check out some old Cosmic Baby, Oliver Leib (yes I
know he's rubbish now but he wasn't always). If you can find them I

A wise man once said that trance is for people who like to
get lost lost in the music, and techno is for those who prefer
to stay cool and in control.
Of course that doesn't alter the fact that trance music as we know
it is shite by definition.
Funnily, all the goa/trance DJs have picked up
I think some folks are taking the 'three degrees of separation' a little
far. If you're bored with 313-techno, don't have anything to say, or maybe
don't really know what 313-techno is... maybe you should bite your tongue
and take it elsewhere.
As for more on-topic threads...
