I suggest you contact 4D tech support. As mentioned you need to prove
ownership or authorisation from the owner. This route has worked for me in
the past.

Wayne Stewart was able to wave his magic wand and make the Designer Password go
away. I have now reset it.

The problem with that approach is many fold. First if something happens to
users and groups and admin becomes bad you will be stuck. If you are going to
follow that path, I would create another use by duplicating administrator and
use that one

designer.
