4D (v17 and all the way back to v13.5) is having some issues with an internal MacOS drawing routine that is causing funkiness in: 1) ALP plugin drawing vertical text, the separator lines get a little “squiggle” to them 2) ALP drawing checkboxes in a boolean column 3)

Peter, That's doable. I haven't played with form objects at that level for some time. I'd use a picture for the background or boundary object. The On Mouse Down event let's you trap a click on the picture. You could also trap the On Mouse Up event to get the delta between where the click started

I always use both, 4d user and user tables to add info about the user. 4D user has a uniq id, so its easy to add records about any user. When updating versions on the server, i just sends the 4D users to a list that can be stored outside or in the dbase and replace them after startup of server.

never tried to implement this... you would probably have to : use On Mouse down, and on mouse up, to get the coords of the dragged over area. then estimate/calculate how many lines were to be selected based on row height. Then use the listbox command to highlight those rows. I might note that
