Guess what, I left the computer for a while and gmail is working now. I guess it wouldn't hurt if you gave me suggestions about my computer though because it's been very slow lately. I do a lot of artwork and have a lot of tabs open in Firefox and often two incidents of it with several tabs.

Yes, doing the system restore can take quite a while until you reboot and get back to the desktop. It sounds like it was successful as far as fixing your system files and getting the All Programs menu back. It shouldn't cause any problems like you describe with Gmail. Is anything besides
