Abstract
In modern daily life people need to move, whether in business or
leisure, sightseeing or addressing a meeting. Often this is done in
familiar environments, but in some cases we need to find our way in
unfamiliar scenarios. Visual impairment is a factor that greatly
reduces mobility.
But these devices are confined to publications in academic journals or
paper presentations in science conferences. We are yet to have a
sophisticated smart cane which can be used in the daily life,
especially in Indian conditions. Neverthless, such efforts are surely
praise worthy. Let us hope
