Re: [AI] Should we offer money as a tip to airlines staff or not?

2024-03-17 Thread Khandu Bhandare
Respected  Kaveri Madam,I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to share some thoughts regarding the practice of offering tips, especially in situations where individuals are on low wages. In my opinion, offering a tip is a personal choice, and I believe it's important to extend it to those who may be on low wages, such as ground staff and drivers. These individuals often go out of their way to assist us, and the tip they receive can make a significant difference for their families.Furthermore, I strongly believe that if someone genuinely helps us, it's only fair to express our appreciation through a tip. However, it's essential to be mindful of the context, especially when dealing with individuals who hold executive or senior positions. Offering a tip to such individuals might be perceived as inappropriate or offensive. Therefore, while I prefer to offer tips in situations where it's warranted, I also understand the importance of being respectful and considerate in our interactions. Instead of offering tips directly, I believe it's more appropriate to express our gratitude through words and greetings.Thank you for considering my perspective on this matter.Warm regards,On Mar 17, 2024, at 01:55, 'Mahendragalani' via AccessIndia wrote:I am talking from my own experiences, not once but many times. Re: [AI] Gmail query

2024-03-15 Thread Khandu Bhandare
Dear Ram Sir,

I hope this email finds you well. I noticed you were looking for
instructions on how to sign out of your Gmail Standard account. Below are
the steps you need to follow:

   1. Press "Ctrl + Home" to navigate to the top of the page.
   2. Press "B" to locate the button elements, then press "Enter" on the
account button. For example, if your username is Ram, press "Enter" on the
   "Ram Account" button menu.
   3. Inside the account menu, you will find the "Sign Out" option. Press
   "Enter" on that option.

Following these steps will successfully sign you out of your Gmail Standard
account.

If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Re: [AI] Guidance required for 44-year-old sudden blind

2023-05-24 Thread Khandu Bhandare
I'm sorry to hear about the challenges your friend has been facing.
Adjusting to blindness can be difficult, but there are still many
possibilities and opportunities available for him. Here are some
suggestions:

Rehabilitation Services: Encourage him to seek additional training and
support from organizations that specialize in assisting individuals
with visual impairments. These organizations can provide him with
further training on screen readers, mobility skills, and other
necessary tools to enhance his independence and employability.

Vocational Rehabilitation: He can explore vocational rehabilitation
programs that provide assistance and resources for individuals with
disabilities to find suitable employment. These programs may offer
career counseling, job placement assistance, and support in developing
the necessary skills for specific job roles.

Entrepreneurship: Starting a business again might be a viable option.
However, he should consider the lessons learned from his previous
venture. Before starting a new venture, he could focus on developing a
solid business plan, ensuring he has reliable staff or partners who
can support him consistently, and taking advantage of any available
resources for entrepreneurs with disabilities.

Online Opportunities: With his computer skills and training, he can
explore online job opportunities or freelancing in fields that align
with his expertise. Many professions can be done remotely, and he can
leverage his experience in the merchant navy and banking sectors to
find suitable online work.

Support Networks: Encourage him to connect with support groups,
organizations, and communities that cater to individuals with visual
impairments. These networks can provide valuable guidance, mentorship,
and resources for navigating life with blindness and pursuing career
opportunities.

Further Education: If he is interested in expanding his knowledge and
skills, he could consider pursuing higher education in a field that
interests him. Many universities and colleges offer programs and
accommodations for visually impaired students.

Adaptive Technology: Familiarizing himself with screen readers and
other adaptive technology is crucial for accessing information and
performing tasks independently. He can continue to improve his skills
by practicing regularly and seeking assistance from experts or
training programs.

It's important to remind your friend that many individuals who
experience late blindness have been able to adapt and excel in their
lives. With determination, perseverance, and support, he can find new
avenues for personal and professional growth. Encourage him to stay
positive, seek opportunities, and make the most of the resources
available to him.

[AI] Celebration of Global accessibility awareness day by Center of excellence for persons with disabilities, SBI Foundation

2023-05-19 Thread Khandu Bhandare
 Dear access Indians,

We are thrilled to announce the successfully organized workshop by the
Centre of Excellence for Persons with Disability, SBI Foundation, on
Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2023 at SBILD Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
This event was a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to
creating a more inclusive society.

We had the privilege of collaborating with XRCVC (Xavier's Resource
Centre for the Visually Challenged), renowned experts in the field, to
bring their invaluable knowledge and expertise to the workshop. Their
contribution enhanced the impact and effectiveness of the sessions,
ensuring a comprehensive understanding of accessibility for persons
with disabilities.

The workshop was divided into two parts, focusing on essential aspects
of accessibility. The first part was dedicated to partner banks, with
the aim of educating them on creating accessible documents. Often, we
assume that everyone will be able to read the documents we create, but
unfortunately, some categories of persons with disabilities face
challenges in accessing them. Through this session, we raised
awareness and provided practical solutions for making documents
inclusive and accessible to all.

The second part of the workshop focused on building accessible
websites and applications, dedicatedly for Team GITC
SBI. Developers were enlightened on the precautions to be taken to
ensure inclusivity, with a special emphasis on following the
accessibility guidelines given by WCAG (Web Content Accessibility
Guidelines).
A special mention goes to Mr. Reshwin for the media coverage, which
helped spread awareness about our initiatives on a larger scale,
reaching a wider audience and inspiring others to join us in our
mission.

We extend our gratitude to each and every participant who attended and
actively contributed to the workshop. Your dedication to creating an
inclusive society is truly commendable.

Let us continue working together, breaking barriers, and championing
accessibility for all. Together, we can create a world that values
diversity and provides equal opportunities for everyone.

Thank you all!

Warm regards,

Re: [AI] need help with power point

2023-04-13 Thread Khandu Bhandare
Hi ishant, I understood your concern, When creating a presentation, it
is important to keep in mind that not all visual elements, such as
images and charts, may be accessible to individuals with visual
impairments. It is recommended to use descriptive text and alt tags
for images to make the presentation more accessible.

Do you try to navigate in slides by pressing tab from title place
folder to object or vice versa? If not then please try navigating
with tab key.

Additionally, it may be helpful to practice delivering the
presentation using JAWS or other screen reader software beforehand to
ensure that the presentation is understandable and effective for
individuals with visual impairments.

Here are some helpful JAWS commands for using PowerPoint:

To read the title of the current slide: Press the "JAWS Key + T".

To read the text on a slide: Press the "JAWS Key + CTRL + Alt + Arrow

Re: [AI] Need help in MS excel

2023-04-06 Thread Khandu Bhandare
Sure, I can help with these Excel issues you are experiencing.

For filtering the data, Excel may not announce that a field has a
drop-down list when you navigate to the column. However, you can still
access the drop-down list by pressing Alt+Down arrow key once you are
in the column. This should open the filter drop-down list and allow
you to filter the data as needed.

To use the "TRUE or FALSE" formula in Excel, you can follow these steps:

Select the cell where you want to enter the formula.
Type the equals sign (=) to start entering the formula.
Type "TRUE" or "FALSE" (without the quotes) to enter the desired value.
Press Enter to confirm the formula and complete the entry.
When you move left or right to select the cell, NVDA may not announce
the cell's content or position. To verify the selected column, you can
try to navigate to the column's header or press the arrow keys to move
to the next or previous cell to confirm the selection. rather you may
mention the cell address whichever is required.

To filter on a column with dates in Excel, follow these steps:
Select the column containing the dates you want to filter.
Press Alt+H then F then S then F to open the filter dialog box.
In the filter dialog box, select the drop-down list for the column
containing dates and choose the date filtering option you want to use.
Select the date range or specific dates you want to filter.
Press Alt+A to apply the filter and close the dialog box.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Re: [AI] Google Maps Walking directions query

2022-05-05 Thread Khandu Bhandare
hi vaibhav, i understood your query. what you have to do is:
1. suppose you are standing on the road and map is showing you "head
south east for so and so kilometer "
2. try walking twards your left and check the distence from the
current location to your destination.
3. if your distance is increasing it means you are going on wrong direction.
4. then try walking towards your right sideand again check the distance.
hope this will help you.

2022-04-27 Thread Khandu Bhandare
Hello miner ji!
This is khandu here
I have being living alone from last ten years at different different
places. I have gone through lot of experiences it would be better for
you to use sticky pad to catch the rats as a person with visual
impairment you have benefit of this pad is when ever rat will stick
on pad it will make noice and u will come to know that u have
successfully catch it.
Then you can ask any sighted person to pik that pad and throw off or
