When the Oracle guys start a delete obsolete command to delete expired DB

A couple of times each day, the GUID of a node changes to an empty field or

This only occurs with the TDP's for Oracle (aix) and SAP (aix).

You could also install the reporting tool which comes with TSM 5.2.2.
Try Driver7 of it. Install it on a windows machine, hook up to the

I also have a few questions will I have to change TSM to recognise the
full 8 character labels at this point as well?
NO.
You can continue using the 6-char labels for TSM purposes.
(I believe the library still uses the 7-8th chars to distinguish between
media types, anyway.)
Paul, have you tried manually uninstalling (per the README file), then
reinstalling? Also, try the install from the actual console, not remote
desktop/terminal services.

Since LTO3 can read LTO1 media, why not just:
- In TSM, delete all your drives and paths
- Remove them from your OS
- Remove LTO-1 drives and replace with LTO-2 drives
- Allow your OS to recognize the new drives
- define the drives and paths to TSM
- Mark all your LTO-1 tapes as READONLY and just

Well, of course you can always try it yourself
Sorry, in my last post, I said:

Andrew,
Just a couple of things for you to think about. Since LTO3 drives can
read LTO1 tapes I don't see any reason not to switch all drives over to
LTO3 all at once. I don't believe there is any need to create new

I'm going to vent for a minute about the CPU licensing thing. IBM

Looks like when you want to actually search for an _ or % you have to tell SQL
what character you want to use as an escape. I couldn't find anything that
said what the default escape character is so maybe this is the only way to do
it.
Anyway here is what works
