Ok, this sounds good but after that they will still be references to the VTS
tapes that are new. I can not delete all STGNEW references in the VOLHIST
because this will destroy almost everything. So this command only helps me for a
small part.
Any other thoughts?

Another way to copy all scripts via an administrative client is the following
command
q scr * f=macro filename
When you have access to the second server via the same workstation also with an
administrative client you can execute:
macro filename

We have the same problem. We also work on OS/390. We managed to liberate the
disk volume doing a move data to the next storage pool. Doing it to the same
storagepool as the disk belongs to did not work. This solved my problem so I did
not investigate more deeply.

are network problems contacting the server (for example when the client has two
cards and the card which communicates with TSM has problems) sometimes the
netsvc method is more accurate.

defining a new deviceclass,
using this deviceclass in a new storage pool,
defining this storage pool as next stgpool for the old stgpool,
updating all copygroups to the new stgpool
lowering the migration levels of the old stgpool to hi=0 and lo=0
With this method all is done

According to the readme's and manuals I need to use V2.2 of the TDPO. Now they
mention also V3.7.4 for the server next to V4.1.2.12 for the API. This last one
is no problem because it is on the

I think the %errorlevel% could help. A good backup gives a %errorlevl% equal to
0. You can execute a command for the ESP scheduler when this %errorlevel% is not
zero. If you need any help try help if on a DosBox.

On NT two services are installed called "TSM Remote Client Agent" and "TSM
Client Acceptor". Normally these services are installed when installation
completes successfully otherwise you should install them via the wizard of V4.1

We used the TDP for MS SQL for some time and were very satisfied. For the moment
we do not use this solution anymore because of new needs in the project. We are
expecting the application will be migrated to Oracle for the end of the year. So
go fot the latest version of TDP for SQL
You could specify the files to be archived in the objects field.
