Had a similar problem and one solution would be to write a script on your TSM Server that pings the ip address of the Storage Agent Machine once every 55 min. In our case this kept the route alive so the Client (or Agent in your case) knows how to get back to the TSM Server.

I had this same error when I was testing my upgrade in our test env. and it is becuase their is a key missing in your registry for that CLSID. I reinstalled over the top of the version 4.2 that I had just installed and it worked fine. Not sure what caused it but it did work after that!
