I have had this before run a *sh logpinned* this should show the process

as its slowing down the whole TSM server, once stopped check that *sh

Hi,
I'm setting up a (windows x64) 5.5.1.0 tsm server as a config manager
to a win x64 server on a remote system. I managed to subscribe to the
default profile just fine, but when I add a policy domain to the
domain and notify subscriber I get:

Hi,
I have a new TS3500 library with 2500 scratch tapes. I'm running a LABEL
LIBVOL command within TSM 5.5.1.1 but unfortunately it is labelling one
tape at a time. I'm using the barcode as the source.
Is there a way to label more than one tape at a time? It's a good waste of
time and plenty
Use the search=yes option
-LABEl LIBVolume--library_name
+-volume_name---+
'-SEARCH--=--+-Yes--+---+-+--LABELSource--=--+-Barcode+-'
| '-| A |-' |
If your TSM server runs Windows, go to the Setup Wizard under Label
Media. Using the wizard there will only label one tape at a time, but it
will make use of all the tape drives at once, rather than one at a time.
That's a much faster process.

You could have used the search=yes and the volrange to fire up multiple
label libvol commands... fire off 25 commands each doing a range of 100
tapes.

If you're not running in a shared library environment, why not just let
AUTOLABEL=YES for the library definition take over. When a tape is mounted
if it doesn't have a label, one will be written to it at that time.

Actually, the TS3500 doesn't need labeled tapes, just barcoded tapes. It
will label the tapes as required.

This looks to be working now...

The Storage pool that the Centera data is going to has to be large
enough to hold all the raw data, plus the clips and the TOC.
In my case 2-1 for the 100 gb of data I need. 200+ gb of STG.

IS anyone using a script or some other method to create the daily .res
file for a CBRM backup ?
Or a possible other way to get just the changes in the last 24 hrs ?

ADSM-L,
Can someone point me in the right direction?
I need to create copies for long-term retention from backup versions already
stored on the server.
I need to do this soon since many of the files with be expiring soon.

No, and that's probably a sore subject in the VM community. Heck, they

Export tapes are in a portable format.
The export tapes are tracked in the volume history file (look up QUERY
VOLHIST).
They can't be reused until you run a DELETE VOLHIST command.
However, exported data is in a format that can be re-imported into a server
(the same one or a different one). So

I am trying to force NDMP LAN-free backups to keep the same tape mounted
and serially reuse it when a NetApp filer needs to write multiple backups.
We have just implemented our first NDMP LAN-free backups w/ TSM v5.5.1.1,
w/ a single NetApp filer backing up 16 VirtualFS from nightly snapshots,
Did you backup each filespace sequentially or all at once?
