Re: DetailedReportDownloadResponseException: 500 due to ReportDownloadError.ERROR_GETTING_RESPONSE_FROM_BACKEND

2018-11-13 Thread 'Peter Oliquino (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

Since you mentioned that you are generating reports for ~1000 clients, you
may be encountering the timeouts

issue
wherein the report fails if the amount of data being retrieved is too
large. I would recommend that you further breakdown the reports by
excluding some fields or by adding predicates in order to avoid this issue.

Should the error persist, you may send to me your clientCustomerIds and the
report
defintion

 you
used so I can investigate this matter further. You may send your reply via
the *Reply privately to author* option.

Thanks and regards,
Peter

I am implementing a service that retrieves report from adwords on a daily

Top metrics, absolute top metrics, and average position in the AdWords API

2018-11-13 Thread Geert Grootjans
Hello,

According to this blogpost

 there
should be 8 new top/absolute top metrics in the AdWords API since November
12, 2018.

I can not seem to find these in either the AdWords API docs, the github
project or just by doing a request to the AdWords API.

Can someone help me with how to retrieve these new metrics?

Thanks in Advance.

Regards,
Geert

developerToken usage in Ads API calls

2018-11-13 Thread andrej
Hey, I want to use access_token + refresh_token to access ads API on behalf
of an user. If I want to use the client library I need to specify
developerToken which is linked to some ad account. At the moment I use
developerToken that I got from our company ad account but I wonder if it
makes sense as I want to access other ad account.

To clarify in a bit more detail:
- User A comes to our app, links his account through Oauth flow
- We get access_token and refresh_token with permissions to Ads API
- We want to check some info about users A ad account (lets call that
account AA) but I need to supply developerToken with the request
- developerTokens as far as I know are linked to ad account but I do not
have developerToken for ad account AA
- I use developerToken from our company ad account to access AA, this seems
to work but I want to check if this is the right way to do that as that
developerToken seem in no way linked to the AA ad account or to the Oauth
App that was used to get the access_token and refresh_token.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Does UAC support Geo Performance report via API now?

2018-11-13 Thread 'Teja Makani' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello Jeski,

The UAC only supports the reports which are listed here

via the API. The closest one they may refer is Campaign Location Target
Report

which summarizes the performance of campaigns by location-based. Please
note that ,they will get only id

of the location from this report. They need to use LocationCriterionService

to get location name for that ID. Please check the LookupLocation

example for reference in Java. Samples in other languages can be found here
. Let me
know if they have any further questions and share the ClientCustomerId. You
could use reply via author option while sharing the CID.

Sai Teja, AdWords API Team.

Hello Qi,

To change the email address to access the account data they could follow this
article

 and
grant admin access to the new user first and then remove the access to the
old user. This process is not available via API. Also, remind them to keep
the updated email address in the API contact email as important
notifications will be sent to that mail. Please let me know if there are
any further questions.

2018-11-13 Thread 'Teja Makani' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello Andrej,

The developer token of your company can be used to make API calls to any of
your client's accounts even though the Developer token is not related to
any of the client's accounts. To access the clients account data you can
ask them to link their accounts to your companie's MCC account and using
OAuth credentials of companies MCC id you can access the clients data. Most
of the clients we see follows similar process. Via API you could use
ManagedCustomerService.mutateLink

 to
link the accounts, they can follow this article

 to
link their accounts via UI. More about the ManagedCustomerService usage and
samples can be found here
.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards,
Sai Teja, AdWords API Team.

How to add Keywords in Shopping Campaigns

2018-11-13 Thread programmierung
Hello,

I just wanted to know, how can I add/remove Keywords in a Campaign which´s
advertisingChannelType is SHOPPING.
I´ve tested the BasicOperations from the example, but I will get an error
which says "OPERATION_NOT_PERMITTED_FOR_CAMPAIGN_TYPE".

The Software is written in C#.
My company´s Goal is to have an internal list, which holds our own defined
Searchterms for which we are willing to pay and accept throught Google Ads.
If the Searchterm is not matching with our own list, we will add the
searchterm as an excluded Keyword. If the Searchterm is matching, we will
remove the excluded Keyword, so the searchterm can be used.

As I´ve mentioned before, the ChannelType is Shopping and the API will
throw an exception.
What could I do?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Satish,

Video campaigns are currently only supported in reports in AdWords API
based on this link
.

You may use Video Performance Report

 instead
to retrieve their Campaign ID

s.

Let me know if you have further clarifications.

You should take note that only negative keywords are supported for shopping

would suggest to try adding negative keywords only in your API call.

Let me know if you still encounter any error after trying my suggestion.

Landing Page Report ExpandedFinalUrlString

Hi,

I'm trying to get the final Url with ValueTrack parameters replaced with
their final value by using the Landing Page report and the only value in
ExpandedFinalUrlString and UnexpandedFinalUrlString is
https://www.flats901.com. I have verified that the campaign associated
with the url has a tracking template
of
{lpurl}?gadid={creative}={network}={device}={keyword}={adgroupid}={campaignid}.

I expected to see something like the following in the
ExpandedFinalUrlString:

Below is the query I used:

select CampaignId, AdGroupId, ExpandedFinalUrlString,
UnexpandedFinalUrlString, Date

from LANDING_PAGE_REPORT
during 20181001, 20181112

Re: Bulk Request for CRMUserBasedList

2018-11-13 Thread Mahadevan Krishnan
Hi Teja,

Thanks for all the information provided. One final question. Can we not
have more than one APP under one Manager Account as our accounts are
managed by Third Party for different needs to interact with Adwords
Platform and we wanted to create a separate APP for our needs to upload
Custom Audience through Adwords API. I did not find a way to create more
than one APP under a single Manager Account. Please confirm if my
understanding is wrong

Re: Question about Geo performance report and campaign type

2018-11-13 Thread jeski zhao
Hello Teja Makani,

Thanks for your reply. But I notice that when my campaigns targeting all
the countries which I don't choose any targinting location, the Campaign
Location Target Report

returns the data without any location information just like this
  {
  [0]=>
  string(74) "Location,Campaign ID,Campaign,Bid
adj.,Clicks,Cost,Impressions,Conversions"
  [1]=>
  string(103) " --,my_campaign_id_one,my_campaign_name_one,
--,275,37067421,4866,185.00"
  [2]=>
  string(105) " --,my_campaign_id_two,【my_campaign_name_two,
--,342,,5765,200.00"
  [3]=>
  string(0) ""
}

What I want get via the api is per location performmance like the geo
performance report. Can I get the location performance via Campaign
Location Target Report

when I don't choose any targinting location, what should I do ?

Re: Question about Geo performance report and campaign type

2018-11-13 Thread 'Teja Makani' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello Jeski,

The UAC only supports the reports which are listed here

via the API. As mentioned above, the closest one you may refer is Campaign
Location Target Report

which summarizes the performance of campaigns by location-based
CampaignCriterion. Please note that you will get only id

of the location from this report. They need to use LocationCriterionService

to get location name for that ID. Please check the LookupLocation

example for reference in Java. Samples in other languages can be found here
. Let me
know if you have any further questions.

Sai Teja, AdWords API Team.

Re: Additional headline (headlinePart3) and description (description2) for ExpandedTextAds

2018-11-13 Thread Denys Kovalenko
Hi Sai,

Yes, please. This example doesn't work with HeadLine3

https://github.com/googleads/googleads-php-lib/blob/master/examples/AdWords/v201809/BasicOperations/GetExpandedTextAds.php

$selector->setFields(
['Id', 'Status', 'HeadlinePart1', 'HeadlinePart2', 'Description']
);

If I add HeadlinePart3 in list of fields it will throw an exception.

Same, including Headline3 in after this line will not work (because its not
in fields):

https://github.com/googleads/googleads-php-lib/blob/master/examples/AdWords/v201809/BasicOperations/GetExpandedTextAds.php#L91

Thanks, Denys.

Hello Mahadevan,

There is a limit on the number of operations per request 5,000. But for
performance reasons we typically recommend passing no more than 2,000
operations per request. You could refer this guide

more information and you can refer here
 the way
operations are counted. Also they will be able to add/remove up to 100
