Something handy I keep is a Planet GT-905A. 10/100/1G copper port and an
SFP slot, so whatever 1G optic you want. Pretty much a 2-port VLAN
capable managed switch in a media converter size package. Operating temp
is rated 0-50C though. I was thinking about trying some of these for AE
FTTH CPEs.
I want to buy another selection of gigabit copper to sfp converters for
reverse engineering purposes. Ideally some which are known to work well
and especially any which don't fail in non climate controlled environments.
What is everyone using?
