Well, if the battery voltage eventually comes up to float voltage then you have
enough current.
There is a tiny amount of current needed to maintain the charge.

Sorry, that was
This is the first time in a long time that a Cambium post isn't in my

A positive side effect of the new listserv?

Sounds similar to what we are looking to do. Any additional equipment in place
to alert you if the site goes to battery or you hit a certain level of % of
Battery? It would be nice to get an alert if the battery bank hit 50% just not
sure what could be used for that application.
OK, finally got that IEEE whitepaper to load. Nothing really new to me but
they did point out a few things I had not thought of for a long time. The main
points to consider are as follows:
You need to have a rectifier/charger large enough to carry the load plus
produce no more than 20% of
Two more important items to keep in mind
That 68amp of power for recharge + load = (68A * 56V) = 3800W / .85
(efficiency) = ~4500W of power.
Your 120V supply needs to be able to put out ~37A or ~18A at 240VAC.It’s
easy to miss that when installing the system since the current draw with
Something I've wondered about is whether there's a /minimum /charge
current. If you have something like a Meanwell AD-155C then you have a
whopping 155Watts to work with. If you have 100W of load then you have
1amp of charge current. Then somebody maybe adds a couple of devices
and now you
The battery charging current on the AD-155C is actually limited to 0.2A...
which is kind of a good thing, in that you won't have the situation Mark
mentioned where the system won't start because the batteries are drawing
too much current, but it is going to take a few weeks to completely
recharge
We have at least 100 MTS48/30FL-1U's out in the field now for ~1 year, been
very happy with them so far.
