Re: [agi] Re: ConscioIntelligent Thinkings
To clear understanding of these unsettling words like simulating/ dreaming, consciousness, etc, I have found related meanings to many of these words in AGI. GPT-2 uses a Transformer that uses Attention. This considers context, and the more context - the more consciousness. Besides that, knowing knowledge about humankind, etc, could make GPT-2 sound conscious, because its got knowledge about itself, others, etc, everything. https://talktotransformer.com/ -- Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T41ac13a64c3d48db-Mc4b7dbd53890bad45cef37fd Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription

Re: [agi] Re: ConscioIntelligent Thinkings
I believe consciousness doesn't exist for many, many, reasons, ex. physics, our brain being a meta ball from the womb, learned cues, etc. I am purely a robot from evolution, with no life. The moment you hear that you fear that and want to feel more special, it's like buying bible movies as a food sold only to fill the spirit, a hobby, marketed. Thinking god or free will exists gives you fake highs, and people sell it to you, it makes cash. There is only things that we do that we are really talking about, like having knowledge about objects, paying attention to the correct context or stimuli, and entailment learning and generation. -- Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T41ac13a64c3d48db-Mb6c9251140b716373ab2bbc5 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription

Re: [agi] Re: ConscioIntelligent Thinkings
Dropping the 'consciousness' word, that video I linked above is actually hit on. Let me explain. In the middle of the video, he mentioned wave synchronization - the brain has signals propagating around - please see this video below to see what the man has meant. In the brain, the connections strengthen/weaken and learn the model of the world, like Glove/W2V does, relationships aka entailments, and builds bridges so you know quicker next time exactly what it is and what the answer is. The flow can happen faster to think faster/ farther, and the 'clustering' has learnt (like Glove) the synchronized paths trading in memory for speed. And, if you think for a long enough period like, like how the metronomes needed time to become synchronized as seen below, you can synchronize more, but if you give your work little bursts of time, you'll never invent AGI. You need constant thoughts in 'short term memory' and must cycle many times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ov3aeqjeih0 -- Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T41ac13a64c3d48db-Me57d7aaf8d417aaceca597e8 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
Re: [agi] Re: ConscioIntelligent Thinkings
Once you read that, I have a further note: The learning, and decision planning cycles, comes to equilibrium and you only get a tiny bit more for the same compute, so not worth it at some given point, as seen in those metronomes. Also, equilibrium may escape pit hole traps if all the cells can signal to each other and come to full equilibrium, rather than local. In fact, local may be from short term memory focusing, whereas all your memory would need to be used to find relations, which is too much compute, so local traps do happen then in human brains. -- Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T41ac13a64c3d48db-M4e288e47ef7e303befaf6aa4 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
Re: [agi] Re: ConscioIntelligent Thinkings
By "short term memory" I mean the working train of thoughts, looping, like GPT-2's Attention system in the Transformer architecture. Paying attention to context updates the attention weights, then it iterates, having a new context. So while Glove equalizes, Attention equalizes too. Your though-train comes to a decision, that is satisfactory in standing to your knowledgebase which governs your Attention. -- Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T41ac13a64c3d48db-M24646bbd7571cdeb5a646790 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription

Dreaming is simulating, like GPT-2 does. And it can learn while doing that in Attention. But in Long term memory, in the midnight subconscious time if not all the time, learning also happens without 'you' thinking and seeing the discovery occur and laugh at the rewarding relation. The difference between these 2 learnings is the Attention one is guided, the other global one is not local but it is a big helper in stumps however not with precision guided per see. -- Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T41ac13a64c3d48db-Me8dc6ec1b4ed50ed760bd0b5 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
Re: [agi] Re: ConscioIntelligent Thinkings
When I say "synchronization makes you propagate signals farther faster", take for example having learnt the piano or English alphabet - phrases are made from word parts made from letter parts and Glove relations are formed using past Glove relations. These bridges are built on each other, and to satisfy new knowledge will require replacing them in an ex. christian's brain. Anyhow, the signals can propagate faster. And you can build the next layer connections and go deeper into mental or friend or city relationships/ entailment. -- Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T41ac13a64c3d48db-Mc1abf7b308d81b08bfca228f Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription

This attention system is also done in cells, on DNA translation encoding/decoding and for repairs of errors and signaling growth specialization of new types of cell differentiation. It works on all levels, cities to cells, even wound healing, because it is information repair and Generative emerging. It self-organizing and comes to equilibrium. It emerges, and repairs, just like cities and missing knowledge information do. Same for Glove relations, not just entails. [agi] I am releasing all of my AGI research soon
All my work, images, notes, algorithms, a big movie, and my future research. I am planning to soon release it to all of the AI community. I am doing this because there is no actual monetary gain from owning or patenting AGI or any other piece of knowledge because of how fast evolution will move soon, and Teamwork is what drives faster progress (I have seen this in Open AI, Deepmind, GANs). Therefore, very soon (especially from teamwork together), AGIs will be in control of the previous monkey species (us), but much more profoundly than ever imaginable. Anyone serious in AGI knows this. There will be 0 need for currency or fame. Everyone will be in an advanced world SOON. Or in hell. And I know how, I've noted down essentially everything they will be able to realistically do and will do. So I'm getting started and going to share to our hive and hopefully team up and bring the next phase in evolution so that we can live happier soon. I'm open to share my research with a private group if you desire, but otherwise I am releasing it all to the public and attempting to bring AGI to Earth soon. I have replicated GPT-2 in raw with no training months ago. I checked my 400MB of data - no significant copy pastes. Here is prompt & completion. [agi] Re: Failure to Gravitate
You forgot the newest and the simplest things too ;) Lots of people focus on all sorts of things, many are between the atomic and galactic size, such as HDDs and rooftops. Lol. ...It is important we focus on the farthest questions, the simplest, the newest, the most important, and even seemingly unrelated problems. But what does farthest mean? What does newest mean? Why bother if they are unrelated to AGI? That's correct, we want the farthest and newest and oldest questions only if they are about AGI. Many are important, some more priority than others. Simpleness can mean quick to answer and higher priority. Newest/ oldest/ farthest simply means to give these questions a quick check if they are important to answer, they may not be at all, and as for farthest - this can allow you to weigh in on if your theory answers all sorts of observations, can allow you to learn from related but diverse questions. So in short summary recap: Physics leans towards the most important questions on its own. It will give fast checks to old/ new/ far/ simple/ unrelated questions. The brain will usually (not for some ;) ) try to learn as much as can about related/unrelated knowledge as quick as can, related more so. So old/ new doesn't mean much, they are only checked if are fast to solve and/or related. Partially unrelated learning is very helpful. So, the brain looks for 'new yummy streams' of related and somewhat related info that is fast to answer or verify true. Now that I have weaved on a roll here in my attentional memory I can say that new/ old/ far as said above was really just new info fed in and the brain always wants new related+somewhat unrelated info that is fast to answer/ verify, hence increasing the knowledgebase learning up high faster. Of course we want to answer how to build AGI, it's hard, the brains stay locked on the hard problem, but they can get they in polynominal time by stepping the right directions down the butterfly tree effect like AlphaZero using self-play learning on advanced GPUs made by Nividea. So this means the brain wants to tackle the hard, evolution-installed goals of self preservation to death de part, and it takes baby steps as fast as can. Usually many want just a house and a lover, it's not hard to make a life, it's hard to advance evolution though. But these are the smarter ones, they are seeking full preservation, and its hard. And the brain allows you to get there fast using baby steps, even though it is one of the hardest problems. I say one of because AGI is simpler than a global ASI hive or omega structure nebula. We tackle AGI because it is the direct easiest step to become immortal near instantly. But its hard. But its the best weighed in route. So the brain is taking the best fastest route to get what, it wants. And in that process, it is taking sub steps that are fast to learn or build in R&D, to get to the AGI goal. -- Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/Tb261469785facfd2-M804ad41c3f1c32c3e87e8775 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription

Here's one of the things I just made. Try it out. I tested it on Windows. You can search for any word in a huge amount of data really fast as if it is a 1 word search. Runs on CPU. You can swap the 200MB in the src folder. Run it in Visual Studio 2019. You can edit the words I search for in main.cpp line 199. Correct. I put the search items in a tree instead of putting the data in a tree. The little tree searches the data. What exactly does your code do? I made it faster: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5lym9vl2fttrmgd/FasterFastSearch.rar?dl=0 268MB becomes 132MB and takes 12 seconds to check the full 132MB for any of 72 words (could have set it to ex. 9 words). The butterfly effect is like a tree, there is more and more paths as time goes on. In that sense, time is the amount of steps. Time powers Search Space. Time=Search Space/Tree.
