I'll distribute the pending proposals tomorrow, but the Promotor office
is currently a bit of a burden for me. Is someone interested in taking
it over (permanently or at least temporarily until November)?
In related news, I'm not interested in judging CFJs until November.

I looked at the responsibilities, and it doesn't look to bad. I'll take it
in the short run and see how it works out. Do we need to have an election?

I'm afraid I oppose. The office of speaker has veto power, and I'm not
sure if I trust em that much after es (Is that the right pronoun?) last CFJ.

Just to be clear, under R2124/18 (Agoran Satisfaction) the speaker can veto
an announcement of intent by indefinitely objecting to it. They have to
renew it every 48 hours, but that's a lot of power.

Yep, you got that right. Btw, my rationale for supporting this intent
was indeed a vague hope for accidental or malicious abuse of the
Speaker's powers. :)

Oh, I was thinking that if there was actual desire for a new Speaker, I
wasn't going to override the rest of Agora on that. It wouldn't be

I'm aware, but as I've been a slacker for a whole month now, no
announcement of intent is neccessary in this case.

Thanks. Before e thinks of it emself, I'd like to politely request that
Alexis doesn't just come in and take this one. E's already Referee, and the
rest of us have to have some fun. I'd really like to have something to
do. Besides, at this rate e may be speaker soon.

Oh, no, not at all. I just was at work and didn't have time to write a
longer reply. I appreciate you nominating me, but I'm not able to take it
