Blending of mixed colour space layers is not a consistent thing anyway.

The more experience your user have more fine grained settings should be
possible.
sRGB is a possible workflow, like on plain Windows, but more for office +
home users.

ybe it sounds nice,
but leads away from your first goal to concentrate on the basics.
"raw bits" and inclusion of a optional JPEG preview bell gets my vote.
