I have a 52 Clem L and would ride a 50 Platy. I am at the top of that size
based on my PBH but because with the long Riv reaches I prefer to size down
rather than up when I am in the middle like that. I use a pretty short stem
with a sweptback bar (tosco) on my Clem and it works great.

I agree that NJ one is way overpriced. Looking at the specs I think you
could have a new one built the same way with those accessories for less
than the asking price. I don't see any way that cost anywhere near $4800

I haven't tried it out but I often think that the stem is one of the best
places for shifters but it suffers a bad reputation from cheap 70s bikes.
On my new Clem I thought about mounting the thumbshifter on the stem. I

For 25.4 clamps there are other Nitto made faceplate options that are
finished a bit nicer BUT I am not aware of any other options for 31.8 other
than the non-available and pricier Riv Faceplatter stem. As someone
interested in the super wide Tosco this is positive news.

That's what that sticker does. Most bike stores should have them and will
not look at you oddly for asking for one. That said with a 1x setup the
chance of chainstay damage is low.
