Again only fmy opinion, the LS-P4 is by far the best recorder Olympus have ever
produced given the price and this machine has just so much going for it in so
many ways.
The LS-100 has quite a few problems and that's unfortunate for it too is a good
recorder apart from being far too sensitive to
So where can you get this device?

The Soundblaster Audio HD is a black box with a volume knob, headphons and
microphone sockets on the front and line-in-out and fono inputs on the back
along with SPDIF
I own a dm720 and I also own the LSP4 as well, and I would say the
recording quality between both that the lsp4 is far better then the dm720

Since this machine has been mentioned I thought I'd let you all know that I
have an Olympus DM4 recorder I'm no longer using so time to find it a new
home.
Asking $100 Australian and $20 extra for shipping if I have to send to the
US, UK etc.

Those recorders are showing their age now and I'd rather a LS-P4 any day, a far
better quality recorder with a more practical feature set in many ways for
recording and that's exactly what these devices are designed for.

Just as well for that as the LS-P4 to my knowledge won't allow you to read the
clock anyway and really who cares when you can get the time in so many other
ways.

Yeah. I don't believe 5.666 comes with the CDDB plug-in. The others related to
library and portables though, are still here. Some of the ones related to
output are required winamp components.

Winamp comes with several plugins/components pre-installed. To be honest I
can’t remember all the ones I uninstalled. Some were things like CDDB for
identifying CD’S that no longer work. Likewise "Now Playing" and "History" in
the Library. Also under General Purpose/Plugins all the one’s
Don, one warning about the dm720 if it makes any difference for you. The
speaker is quite tiny with very little volume. I personally find this very
annoying but if you are going to use headphones it won't be a problem. This is
my one major beef with Olympus recorders when used for mostly note
Ok, after investigating I found the dm720 for $149 which isn't that much
below the ls-p4 at $179 but I did find the olympus ls-p1 for $99.
Does anyone know the differences between the ls-p4 ls-p2 and ls-p1?
Thanks.

I don't need to read the clock as much as I need to be able to set it.

Don, as I recall, the DM4 had an accessible clock. So does the DM720 which is
quite a bit cheaper than the lsp4.

What OS is this person on? Yes Windows Media Player will and I found it
the easyest DVD player. Too bad Microsoft never made it play Blu-ray.
Also if this person is on Win 7, they will still have Windows Media
Center which is cool for this too. Note you may have to turn JAWS off.
So yes you'll
Hey Tom.
The purpose of finding the vlc.exe file is to use that "browse" button you
mentioned earlier in the "how do you want to open this type of file" dialog
box to locate it in your file system, and point windows to it, so it can
associate with video files, or at least .mp4 files. If you went

I know that the final build of Winamp did remove some no longer
functional/redundant features. I use it, and no extra plugins at the moment,
and the program works great so long as I create playlists using the shell
options and not so much the
Winamp will not play DVDs like that.
You are indeed seeing the folder structure of the DVD. You might be able to
play the individual files if they are not encrypted, but I think on most
commercial DVDs, they would be, and anyway, this is not a very convenient way
to play anything as there is
I've heard that the DM-720 does. But I'm not too sure. It would make
sence though cence it kame a bit after the LS-14 and kinda during the LS-P2.
