Smart mode isn’t everything. The LS-P4 has a solution, you can normalise the recording. If you’re not sure where to set the level for your recording then set the level to a fairly low value. Start your recording and - if necessary - apply the normalise function to the recording when finished. As

I agree, I love most of there recorders, and I stil enjoy the dm7 as well. The only thing I don't like about ls14, is that the mikes is not as crisp as the ls100 or zoom stuff, but yes its very quiet. Its also the only recorder that have the ability to split files while recording in real time. And

For the person who just mentioned this recorder. True it doesn't go up all the way to 96 KHZ or better yet 192. But it does 48 KHZ 24 Bits. Your typical 7.1 Blu-Ray disk like Jurasic Park the 2014 Godzilla and anything else are 48 KHZ. So yes it does do HD audio. How did you hear of this? -
