I just tested your patches with my terratec DMX XFire 1024. Rear
channel doesn't seem to work as intended:
I always get the same output out of both output jacks when I play back
on hw:0,0 (should be on the first/front output only, I assume).
I can't hear anything from the analog outputs when play
??? No, the only reference I found about this option is regarding OSS

was of any use for me...
I have added
options snd-cs46xx mmap_valid=1
to my /etc/modules.conf and done an /etc/init.d/alsa restart without any
change, so I

Hi,
my mixer (kmix) supports OSS and ALSA at the same time. This is good for a
mixed-mode environment (e.g. if there is a TV card w/o ALSA support).
Unfortunately this means that kmix finds some mixers twice.
- One time the real thing (ALSA)
- One time the OSS-emulation
This will confuse users.
I'm interested in developing audio applications in Linux, using Alsa for
output. However, I still haven't figured out how to access the various
channels of my RME DIGI 9636, or even playing back stereo tracks. I gather
from earlier posts on this list I'm not the only one with this problem, but

hello again,
after long time just reading this list and enjoying the progress of alsa, I'd
like to get involved deeper.
My favorite would be to get the external MIDI of Live!-Drive working as I
didn't find any hint that it's working properly now.
Who can help me with a starting - mainly by descr

I have whipped up a page to which displays all the user notes contributions.

It can also be accessed quickly through the main matrix page.
I have been feeling slightly guilty that I'm probably the only person
